Such a delight to re-acquaint myself with The Goss's talents. Dinner was perfect, enjoyed the antipasto appetizer, the shaved leek salad (leeks are an absolute favorite) and the pot roast entree. The suggested wine pairings were on target, our server made great recommendations, and I satisfied my "foodie" palate. Don't miss the banana cream pie dessert, with the liqueur pairing... More

Made a reservation at the West Town Tavern upon the recommendation of friends. Every dish was sublime and did not disappoint. Treat yourself to the out of this world desserts!

We had been to this restaurant before and had a nice time. Last night was a different story. We were seated by the host at our reservation time. When we sat down the waitress asked if we had seated ourselves. She argued with us that, since we were not given menus, we couldn't have been properly seated. This was not... More

We had to find a place to take visiting relatives from New York City, used to eating in their city's best restaurants. We'd made reservations at an outstanding Italian restaurant when we stopped by West Town Tavern on our way home from a wine tasting and were blown away by the Thursday night fish tacos. So we made a reservation... More

We liked the ambience alot, hostess was friendly though waiter was average. With few diners, we would have expected more attention. The menu is varied and interesting. I tried the BQ lamb atop of potatoes and covered with coleslaw. It was fine but the tastes didn't work for me. Valet parking would have been nice as the side streets are... More

This little gem of a restaurant is sure to please the most ardent foodie! Start with their home-made potato crisps, drizzled with just the right amount of truffle oil, balsamic glaze, herbs & fine shreds of cheese. Their braised pot roast is legendary...a legend that's well deserved. The roasted Brussels sprouts are fantastic and the garlic mashed potatoes are worth... More

Our first experience here was probably 10 years ago. We had received a gift certificate and went with our two adventurous sons. The food was great. Since then we have been back and went tonight with our now adult sons and future daughter-in-law. We had the spring rolls, mussels, chowder and fabulous potato chips to start, together with the delicious... More

West Town Tavern is just minutes from downtown or the train station and is a great place to meet friends. Fabulous food, wonderful wine choices and very reasonable prices. If you’re looking for a place to meet and near the city that will leave you with the feeling of a five star city restaurant, this is it. I would recomend... More

Their claim to fame is comfort food with a sophisticated twist and I must say they deliver just that. We had to have the pot roast based on our daughters recommendation and it was excellent with garlic mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The pot roast was so very tender and the black vinegar sauce was such a compliment. I had... More

This is our favorite resaurant to bring out of towners to. It's out of the way in an upandcoming area but can be reached by the EL. We've eaten just about everything on the regular menu--love their soups, their mussels, and my husband raves over the pot roast. Their specials are great and innovative. The service is great and the... More
