We really enjoy this place. My husband enjoys it for the consistently good beer and I have for the most part been happy with the food. Simple food that is overpriced. If you have limited time in Chicago, by all means do not waste it here. I live in the neighborhood so I did eat here once and I haven't been back. Even though Rock Bottom Brewery downtown is a chain, their food is 100% better. more
Visited the Goose Island Clybourn location over St. Patrick's Day weekend 2007. Good beer! They have the best IPA I have ever tasted.....it also smells great. Bartender was very friendly and talked with us all throughout the night. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we were the last customers left. more

This is one of my favorite places in the world. The service is excellent. If you sit at the bar, the bartender is attentive, more than willing to have a conversation (especially if you know about beer), and willing to give you samples of anything they have on tap before you even place an order.
