Very underwhelming Italian Beef. I can do better in my own kitchen. The fries were over salted and the cheese fries were not good. My advice go to one of the many places that serve Italian Beef on the outskirts of the city.

We stopped for lunch on our way to the airport as an Italian Beef was our final food requirement on our checklist for this Chicago trip. It was incredible. I got a small sandwich but I wish I had gotten a large. The fries were also outstanding. And I thought it was a great value; there were two of us,... More

Everything looks cheap on the menu, but somehow I ended up with a $30 tab for two people (we drank water). For that $30 we also got to stand up. Otherwise, the beef sandwich with sweet peppers was great. Dipped and undipped, the beef has a fantastic seasoning. The french fries were also very good, nice and greasy like I... More

This place was on my list of food stops while staying in Chicago. We went St. Patricks day weekend and there wasn't an open table. Went back that Monday and there was only one person in there. We got 2 small Italian beefs, dipped, with hot giardiniera and cheese fries. The sandwich was okay, but having had a Portillos Italian... More

I love their Italian beef! I ordered it with the sauce on the side, their sausages are also very good and tasty and the cheesy fries are just too cheesy to pass up on. I love that when I came here to dine it wasn't too busy (it being early for dinner) and I must say that the bread they... More

They have many different fries, well all the same fries, just different toppings and I love the blue cheese, yummm!

This place advertises its one of the best and it is NOT. Greasy and not so clean. I am not a fan of their utensils and especially the drink cups. Food is just average and its fast food so the expectations are low. Portillo's beef is 100% better IMHO

Loved it! This is a tiny place on Taylor Street with no bathrooms, no tables & no credit cards! But who cares The taste is outstanding! Got the Big Beef sandwich with sweet & hot peppers stood at the counter and crowed down! Wow! was it good. This is real taste of Chicago Beef!

It's little places like this that remind you that a joint does come in a wrap...!!! Great fast food (if there is such a thing), and no chairs, bring cash...!!!

A friend in Chicago recommended I go here, otherwise I probably would've just walked by the pretty non-descript deli. I got the dipped sandwich with hot peppers at the recommendation if the nice older guy behind the counter when I asked him what the quintessential sandwich there was. It was amazing. I went back for another...and another. I eat beef... More
