Good Food, Good Service

We dined here before our river cruise. The food and service were good. I'm glad we ate before I used the restroom or I would have left. The women's restroom was disgusting. Toilet seats falling off, debris on the floors, filthy in all areas. My husband used the men's room and said it was clean.

Houlihan’s restaurant can be reached from the Hyatt Regency via an underground mall. After dark or for a woman walking alone, this would be a safe way to travel from the restaurant back to the Hyatt if you are staying there. I had dinner and breakfast during my recent stay in Chicago. Each time the service was very attentive and... More

I had salmon that was cooked just right for me, with a wonderful crème brulee for dessert. Service was good also.

Ate here with 6 friends during a recent conference in Chicago. The restaurant is one block from our hotel so we decided to duck in for a quick lunch. Quick being the operative word. We noticed they were telling everyone the table wait was 15 minutes. It took us close to 30 before we were seated. Our waiter took a... More

Service and food were great! Nice place for a family, a couple, or for anyone traveling alone! The good quality was very good for the price paid.

We visited Houlihan's while on a trip to Chicago. We went for the breakfast buffet as we stayed at the Hyatt Regency over the weekend. No doubt that it was good food for the $9.99 advertised price and expectations weren't real high. The kids ordered orange juice and I had a coffee, as the wait staff led you to believe... More

I stopped at Houlihan's for lunch after wandering around and a storm came in so I ducked in to eat. The bar area had a nice atmosphere and the menu had a nice selection of choices. I tried a 1/2 sandwich soup selection. It was okay - nothing special. They did have a good selection of drinks (wine, beer, cocktails).... More

Went here the first night in town and the dinner food was ok and the service was good. Went back the next 5 mornings for the $10 breakfast bar. Omelets are awesome along with most everything else except the powdered eggs. Dinner service was good. ..breakfast service was lacking

Went here for Breakfast before my boat tour Chicago Lady at 9:30 am, they have other restaurants, even a McDonald's, however I decided to have a very good breakfast before taking off. That was the mistake of a life time.. They only do buffet, I rarely ever do buffet however theirs seemed unique, and a lot of professionals, locals, and... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
