Breakfast buffet, hmmm...

OK, we were hungry and didn't want to eat at the hotel since it's usually expensive Denny's tasting food. So, we swung into Houlihans for their breakfast buffet (I think they called it an "eggstravaganza" or some sort of "eggceptional" experience). Well, the service was poor (the omelet woman was... read more

My good could the service been any slower? It took 5 minutes to get seated and then took another 10 to get drinks ordered. Granted it was late is was 10:15pm on a Friday but the place was not slammed. The waiter then forgot to bring my wife her soup and only later did he remover that she wanted it... More

My husband and I ate at Houlihan's on Wacker Drive before leaving the city after a weekend trip. Wesley was our waiter and he was very friendly. He gave us some recommendations from the menu, all of which were good. He also gave us some insight into things in the city we should take in. He was fantastic. The food... More

Best for breakfast buffet and ok fastish food. You go to Houlihans because its there and cheaper than the local hotels. Otherwise I would not bother. Its tasty and friendly but not great from a culinary perspective but it does not set up to be. So its decent value and enjoy it for that

Very close to the Hyatt Regency and just off Michigan. $9.99 buffet breakfast that had a good assortment of breakfast choices. Nothing gourmet, just good food. Great service.

I ordered fish taco and my sister ordered buffalo wings. It was a five minute walk around the corner from the Hyatt Regency. Great spot.

If you are searching for an intimate dining experience this is not the place. If you're looking for good food at a reasonable price then come on in. We ducked in to avoid an afternoon shower and stayed for dinner. The top sirloin was juicy, tasty and reasonable ( who needs a $50 steak?). The 1800 Margarita was well made... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
