Good food

I ordered fish taco and my sister ordered buffalo wings. It was a five minute walk around the corner from the Hyatt Regency. Great spot.

If you are searching for an intimate dining experience this is not the place. If you're looking for good food at a reasonable price then come on in. We ducked in to avoid an afternoon shower and stayed for dinner. The top sirloin was juicy, tasty and reasonable ( who needs a $50 steak?). The 1800 Margarita was well made... More

I was just there last night and I was pretty hungry for one of the hand helds so I already pretty much decided on the Salmon BLT along with some great potatoe soup. Many thanks that I received a great deal on this selection!! The manager is very friendly and I was seated right in front of the fish aquarium... More

Was having coffee meeting at Houligan's when we felt peckish and ordered some nachos and calamari under the light bites section of the menu. When the nachos arrived, the next table actually asked us for the name of the dish. The size was simply amazing as it can feed 4 or more, no way was it light. There was generous... More

By the name I was expecting an Irish place, but it was just a regular bar. They did have a good baked potato soup. Also ordered the flat bread pizza which was unexpectedly crispy and good (though the red onions were hard to chew). Friendly Canadian bartender kept chatting with me about my hometown. Nice for a business traveler who... More

Came here around 8pm on a Friday night after work with 7 co-workers. First delay was in the bar area while waiting for our table, took several minutes for the service to even ask if we wanted any drinks, we said yes and he said he'd be back with menus, never saw him again before our table was ready. Once... More

It was very cold and we were starving so we stopped at Houlihans on East Wacker, a block west of Michigan ave. The bar was incredibly noisy but we asked for a quiet table and were seated away from the bar and it was quiet enough to have a nice conversation. I had the petite filet mignonette with potatoes and... More

Houlihan's is well situated, 1 block from Michigan Ave. and right across from the Riverwalk. It has lots of nice, private booths for up to 4 people and some big circular tables for a larger party. It has outside tables facing the river for summer. The menu is varied, and there's lots from which to choose. The tortilla soup was... More

Food was good. Try their flat breads. The service seemed slow though. Soup was served lukewarm not hot \

This restaurant is family friendly and quality is consistent. There is enough variety to please many appetites. Portions are medium to large. Good value too for downtown Chicago.
