I have not eaten in Gaylord since they moved from their Clark Street location and then it was only for their lunch buffet where understandably the spices we muted. I have however been ordering take out from them (mainly through Dining-In which no longer has Gaylord on it's fast-shrinking roster) for over 10 years. They quite often forgot something in... More

The lunch buffet was quite delightful. It has an excellent assortment of traditional dishes served buffet style as well as Tandoori chicken and naan bread served at the table. The small salad bar as well as the fruit and desserts were a nice touch. The spinach curry was my favorite. Although it's a bit pricey on a lunch scale, it's... More

Wonderful restaurant! We eat Indian food regularly, and have tried dozens of restaurants in many cities. Often the food is good, but not 'interesting.' At Gaylord we ordered a standard, very common dish (Chicken Tikka Masala) and it was anything but! So many wonderful flavors, spices...amazing. The atmosphere is slightly upscale, yet casual neighborhood feel; family friendly.

Miserable weather in Chicago, soWARM food is what I desired. I have been here before but the doorman at the Four SEasons recommended this. We had a "curry" of a night and went back to the lobby bar at the hotel for more after dinner drinks....just a beautiful meal. I suggest asking the waiter "what gets ordered more" and just... More

Always visit when in Chicago. Staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. Great menu. Choice of buffet or a la carte menu.

In early December, I was in Chicago, attending RSNA. Fortunately, I was staying in hotel Drake in the E.Walton Street and this Gaylord India Restaurant is within a few minutes of walking distance. I remember visiting this restaurant a few years back, but back then, the food was unimpressive. However, this time - in fact in the course of one... More

I ordered delivery from Gaylord for a private supper. My guest had good past experiences with this restaurant. It was recommended. The hot chicken dish tasted about average. They did use the best chunks of white meat, but the heat in the sauce did not marry as well as others I have tried. The paneer dish with spinach and cheese... More

Sometimes, you just fancy a curry. You check a few reviews and think "this place will do" couldn't have have had more average expectations - but we were blown away by this place. From the apps to the mains, the fabulous bread selections and the attentive service, The Gaylord absolutely delivers. Highly recommended and legitimately gourmet Indian food - excellent.

This is the one restaurant in Chicago we HAVE to visit whenever we are in town. Good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Attentive staff. We are former Chicagoans and have an almost forty-year history with this restaurant.
