We were in Chicago for an overnight and craving for some Indian cuisine for dinner. This is the one that was closest to the mall and didn't had to walk that far or drive. So we came in, there was a party and we got lucky that we got a seat (well they said we don't have to make reservation... More

We discovered Gaylord quite by chance while looking for a restaurant near Oak Street Beach. We both opted for the buffet, which featured a number of hot dishes plus a section with salad items and sambals. Our waiter brought freshly cooked tandoori chicken and nan bread - the chicken was served on a hot platter and continued to sizzle for... More

While they did not have my 'standard' on the menu (Korma) the food was quite good and the service impeccable. The size of the portion was more than I could eat, and the mixture of spices and texture was superlative.

My husband and I sort of stumbled upon this restaurant looking for a nice relaxing lunch spot. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of service, value, and quality of food. We both opted for the buffet based on the large amount of vegetarian offerings, which turned out to be flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our server brought a basket of... More

This hotel serves good variety of both veg & non veg Indian food. Food quality is good. Staff is courteous & helpful. It is a good restaurant in terms of both, quality & quantity.

In Chicago for 3 nights. Disastrous meal in a French bistro the first night and every restaurant except the steak restaurants seemed to be booked up for the next 2 nights. My husband and I are real curry addicts and so the Gaylord, being a short walk from our hotel seemed the obvious choice. We had something called aloo papda... More

I love Indian food and had a great lunch buffet at Gaylord Fine Indian Cuisine at Michigan Avenue and Walton Street. The food was well done and there were plenty of vegetarian options. About 10 people waited on me, but the buffet was only $13.95. For dessert they had the best gulab jamun I have ever tasted. Thanks for a... More

I was referred by a local and was not disappointed. They have a self-serving stand which has papadams, different chutneys (green, tamarind, mango) and aachar (fresh veg pickle). We ordered the mixed grill, samosa, variety of naans (the lamb stuffed was awesome), dal, lamb vindaloo and lamb Kadai. Even the Biryani was wonderful. Kerala fish curry was really tasty. The... Loved the poori bhaji and the chana batura. A bit oily but very tasty. Good Madras coffee and excellent mango ice-cream
