Amazing food, indulgent desserts and cheeses, and the wine list is out of this world! Highly highly highly recommend. Very pricey but worth every penny. The service, impecable!

An amazing fine dining experience is the exact and specific repeated mastery of many details. Being able to do this over and over again without fail. Its been many years since my wife and I had dinner at Charlies. Though I cannot confess to knowing anything about their execution and qc reviews presently I wanted to reference our meal years... Not even the fact that our meal cost 700.00. I felt like i was eating in a Retirement home and served by a senior. Best Part of the resstaurant was getting a peek inside the kitchen.

I am thrilled I had the opportunity to go here for my 30th birthday before it closed! A once-in-a-lifetime experience at a place that was really ahead of its time.

I just don't understand all the hype surrounding this man's food or his arrogant staff. Quite frankly it is time for this place to close....trust me you haven't missed a thing!!

It was just a wonderful night in its entirety. The food was as good as expected. Rich and full of flavours. The whole selection was well balanced and worth the effort. Wine list was great and reasonably priced. Each dish which came out was gradually better than the one before and by the end of the night you could tell... More

I made this reservation with such high expectations and unfortunately it didn't come close. Our bill for 3 was just under $1000 with wine. Our waiter seemed pretentious and his descriptions of each course so over the top I almost wondered where the hidden camera was filming the joke. As for the food, I wanted to like it as did... More

A treat given by our son and daughter-in-law. Very delicious Vegetarian food. Prepared with all care and served well. Memorable dinner party.

Notification of the closing of Charlie Trotters took us to Chicago. The second seating in the converted home was packed with excitement. Each dish was presented with a passionate description and very savory. Portions were generous. I feel very privileged to have had the experience at Charlie Trotter's.

Must admit we were slightly anxious to eat at Charlie Trotter's after having read so many bad reviews. But this being an institution in Chicago and with its closing next month, we wanted to try it out. After all, it is a Relais & Châteaux, and we've always had great experiences in such places, all over the world. Given, the... More
