Went for Sunday brunch. Expected decent food. Was pleasantly surprised--restaurant exceeded my expectations. I had the ribeye steak sandwich and my husband had the short rib hash. We both had specialty drinks. Moreover they had a kids menu. Friendly and attentive staff. Would absolutely go here again.

Dined there in early September, in the patio. The good: the ambience (outdoor but especially inside, very accurate, classy and comfortable); the wine list; the generous size of the portions. The bad: almost nothing, really, except - not the restaurant fault - the gnats that at some point made us move inside as they have made intolerable staying outdoor). The... More

This was my second visit to this restaurant in 5 years. I started with the FRENCH ONION SOUP and my entre was the 16 OUNCE HERITAGE ANGUS BONELESS RIB-EYE. Let's just say they were both delicious! Probably one of the best steaks I have ever had. Also shared a bottle of cabernet with a friend. The service was excellent just... More

We had a great dinner and wish I'd had a steak because I bet they're great! Loved the building inside and out... cool ceiling.. firepole .. comfortable uncrowded seating. The service was fabulous.. attentive.. readily gave recommendations and made accommodations for special requests. Loved the Lobster Mac and Cheese... as for the Creme Brulee.. I'm more of a purest and... More

A client brought me here for dinner. He told me he was taking me to a "hot" place - he likes his puns. The building is very cool and it's great that they left the architecture as original as possible. Noel was our waiter and he was great... and very honest in his assessments of what to order. I travel... More

Our party of six enjoyed an outstanding meal at the Chicago Firehouse. Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. Our evening began with a round of well-made cocktails, most coming from the menu. Appetizers were excellent and not the usual boring fare. Entrees were terrific and the steaks were among the best in Chicago. Our server was knowledgeable and extremely... More

The service was good and not rushed and overall everyone enjoyed their meal. I think my salmon fillet was little on the small side which my colleagues did remark on but it tasted lovely. Good wine selection and decent quality tablecloths.

Celebrated my wife's birthday here ... excellent meal ... excellent drinks ... excellent service ... my favorite was the Large Seafood Appetizer (we had a group of four diners) ... This shellfish extravaganza was served on ice ... in a bowl about 2 feet in diameter. We shared a dessert ... because that was all we had any room left... More
