The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant retained its charm with original tin ceilings, fire-glazed walls and brass poles. Just as the setting pleases your eye, the American fare will tantalize your taste buds.

I made the reservation onlive for my 9th wedding anniversary on 4/3/13. I requested a quiet booth to enjoy a romantic dinner. We arrive and the main dining room was busy and had a very large party seated next to us. They were a little loud, but not too distracting. Then this woman stands up and addresses the party. She... Business Meeting with speaker held at the Firehouse. Wonderful Character only exceeded by the food and the wine. Attentive servers kept us filled with appetizers that were to die for. I am anxiously awaiting my next opportunity to visit this landmark.

Great location in a historic fire station building close to centre of town. Quite simply the bone-off prime rib was the best steak I have had in a long while. Great service even when the restaurant got busy. Their exotic alcoholic coffees are worth a try. I'm back in Chicago later this year and will certainly eat here again -... More

Wonderful restaurant with fantastic food. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. My husband and I went for our anniversary. I never once had to ask for a drink refill.

The interior of The Chicago Firehouse is great. There's enough of the old firehouse interior left to make it clear that's what it was, yet it's obviously a fine dining restaurant. Very cool. They specialize in steaks, so I had their 12 oz. bone-in filet and it was delicious. I was going to get the 8 oz, but the waitress... More

Went to eat on a very cold Chicago night in April. The building is very old and there is a photo album of how it was converted from a fire station to a restaurant, at the lobby. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. And now to the important stuff, the reason for the visit. The steaks were the juiciest, tastiest... More

We went here hoping for a good steak dinner based on a recommendation from the Hilton's website. I glanced at some of the reviews here before we headed off, and thought it would be worth a try. We were especially excited about the architecture of the old firehouse. The lobby was dark, but warm and welcoming. The coat check was... More

This is probably contravertial against other reviews but we thought this place was style over substance. The setting is lovely and seems a high-end place, also based on the price and extensive wine list but.......the food was average. The shrimp risotto was just okay. The seafood pasta was over-spicy. I like spicy food but it has its place. I did... More

Charming location near downtown Chicago. Original firehouse built in 1904. Converted to elegant, inviting steakhouse. Extensive wine list and helpful, friendly staff. A little pricey, but well worth the cost.

Once I heard about this restaurant, I knew we had to go. My BF is a professional firefighter and we wanted a nice dinner at least one night when we were in town. I ran across this place and knew we had to go. Its an authentic firehouse thats been converted into a restaurant. Many elements and details have been... More
