We've been a number of times and always find the food and presentation fun, casual, tasty, varied. Green Zebra solves our yearly anniversary dilemma of where to go for a great meal that's not too fussy and saves us from pre-selecting menu items from vegetarian "friendly" places (of which there are 1000s in Chicago). The menu changes often, contains not... More

We visited for the second time and brought our daughters. The food was just as good as the first time. The staff is courteous and attentive. The food selections are quite good. My husband is not a vegetarian, but he has enjoyed both visits. We love the small dishes. They are perfect to share and enable you to try multiple... More

Nearly everything we had at this vegetarian restaurant was fantastic. The menu is so good, with so many appealing choices, that no meat eater will miss the meat. The cocktails were good (love the grilled lemon syrup!), the polenta was amazing, the flatbread was great. I also loved the kale salad, and the burrata with grilled frisee (and I normally... More

My husband and I went here with another couple, and had a dinner that was so delicious, there was not even the slightest disgruntlement over the lack of meat! We chose the chef's tasting menu which was five courses. Since we had never been there, we thought that we would let the chef make it easy for us. Boy, did... More

We are frequent diners here and this time we came with a group of friends. It was a lovely, leisurely meal - never rushed, and everything was delicious. Service is attentive but not obtrusive, and the food is always fantastic. This is not a restaurant of fake "chicken, shrimp and burgers". This is a vegetarian place that knows how to... More

I'm veggie friendly, my friend is vegetarian. We split 6 dishes for dinner. It's a good menu - lots of options. The chickpea soup was great. We liked the salads, the lady's duck egg was very good.

Small restaurant, but a clean and modern space. The service was good. Everyone was very friendly and informative. The food, unfortunately, was a bit lackluster. We started with the cheese plate, which was the best part of the meal. The house made ramen soup was overwhelmed by the too salty broth. It was difficult to fully enjoy the other elements... More

I am a vegetarian, none of my co-workers are. For my 33rd birthday, I had to be four states away from my family and friends, so my boss let me pick out the restaurant. I enjoyed the small plates, the great decorations/atmosphere, and of course the quality of the food was phenomenal. I don't always eat healthy, sometimes cheese pizza... More

Six of us ate here on a Monday night. We sat down at 7 and left at 9:30. Slowest service I've had in ages. - the space is nice if noisy - the cocktails were very good - the food - small portions but great tasting - the deserts were the largest portions on the menu, creative and delicious -... More

We expected to have a fabulous meal here based upon the reviews and style of cuisine. However we were very disappointed. The portions were tiny and they didn't have any selections with protein options (tofu, tempeh, satay, etc). The service was good and atmosphere pleasant. But overall, A major disappointment. I would not revisit nor recommend this restaurant.
