interesting food

I came here with my daughter because she is trying to eat more healthy. She will do what she can to make sure I eat healthy as well. I'm not sure which dish I had, it had ramps in it. But I liked it. My daughter loved her dish. My waiter, Toby (Tommy?) was very good, and professional. I would... read more

So I made my second trip to Green Zebra this weekend. Last time we went there was soon after it opened--15 years ago. Thought we should give it another chance. And it really hasn't changed. Still just OK. If you have ever been to Vedge in Philadelphia, you know how wonderful an entirely vegan restaurant can be. Green Zebra could... More

We visited as Green Zebra had been recommended to us. It's an upscale restaurant and worth booking ahead of time - we left it to the same day and couldn't get the time we would have liked to eat at. The menu features a range of dishes all served as small plates and it's best to order 2-3 per person.... More

We have wanted to go to Green Zebra for many years but never quite made it to the restaurant. We finally went there last Saturday for my husband's birthday. The decor and the service were very good --very professional and stylish. The food was better than I expected but not as good as my husband expected. I got the two... More

Firstly the food is wonderful, creative and great care has been taken with fresh and honest ingredients. It is also vegetarian. Imaginative non alcoholic drinks plus alcohol available. More of an explanation when seating guests would be good ( ie to order 2-3 small plates each) . One star off for the bad coffee. Overall though a wonderful meal

Since it first opened Green Zebra has been my favorite restaurant. Things have changed. While it is still an above average restaurant, it is no longer exceptional. The food while still good is not as good and is served in bigger portions than in the past. When food is brought to the table the server no longer describes each dish... More

The Green Zebra used to be one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the country. We have gone there many times over the years since it first opened. A recent visit revealed a big change, Menu was less creative, service was rushed, portions larger and of lesser quality and the presentation was ho hum. We haven't been there in about... More

We had early reservations @ 5:30pm on a Thursday... we were alone in the restaurant. We did the tasting menu which had a fully vegan option for every course. The staff was very professional and we loved the food. Everything was expertly prepared. And our waitress was kind enough to take our photo... when in Chicago try the green Zebra... More

Green Zebra was suggested through a search by a business friend in our small group. We arrived to find a quaint zen like space, with subtle but noticeable architectural angles sprinkled carefully throughout the walls and ceiling, this subtly suggested the dining here would be different from the norm. It was. Our small group, with a varied mix of eating... More

My wife and I had a reservation and were promptly sat in a very comfortable booth table for two that gave us a great view of the comings and goings in the restaurant. It is a busy spot on a Saturday night with many finely dressed people enjoying conversation, drinks and what turns out to be excellent food. Our waitress... More
