My friend saw a review for this place and told me about it. The place was full. They specialize on seafood. It is fresh and delicious. They offer a plate that includes fish, crab, shrimp, octopus, squid, corn and potatoes for two or four people. It was only three of us but we decided to try the plate for four.... More

I recently went to El Barco on a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed when we arrived around 7 pm and we had about a 40 minute wait. It was worth the wait, however. Mexican cuisine is not one of my favorite choices but this was very good. Friendly staff greet you and each table gets complimentary basket of large... More

Hurray! Fresh fish prepared in an authentic Mexican kitchen. Fun details throughout the dining room. Comfortable atmosphere. Wall of libations on one side. Wooden tables with carved chairs in the middle. On the other side, windows looking out onto the neighborhood. Excellent homemade salsas on the table upon your arrival. Guacamole was flavorful. Mahi-mahi Veracruz was very good. The plate... More

One of my emergency go-to's...mostly a draw of the $16 margarita pitchers. They expanded the menu which is great because there are now more options. Generous portions and great for sharing meals. Of course, the red snapper is a must. Good for small and large groups, best option for outdoor seating in the summer time. As far as quality of... More

This place is small but totally worth the wait. I would have given this a 5 star rating but the noise level was too high. The platters of food were enormous and most excellent. We had the red snapper for two and was more than enough, it reminded us of our visit to Riviera Maya. We also had the cervechi... More

I came here years ago and they had amazing skirt steak and seafood. They have big servings and great micheladas. Yummy. Everything I come to El Barco they have a line but its worth waiting for. I ordered Garlic shrimp, it was my first time tasting this plate. It was delicious it had plenty of shrimp and the waitress was... More

My husband is Hispanic so I have become very picky over years about Mexican restaurants and this is by far the best please I have ever ate! The food is fresh, large portions, and I don’t leave feeling sick when I am full. The veggies, rice, and beans are all fresh. I love it. It looks like it used to... More

Great authentic Mexican restaurant. Not overly large as we had about a 20 minute wait. Very close seating but think in the summer it would be nice to be out on the patio. 1st..the Mango Margaritas were wonderful! I could sit and drink them with chips and guacamole alone. We had wonderful meals and very large portions! The fajitas were... More

I stopped in at El Barco for a quick dinner on a week night, and was seated promptly. The dining room is large with multiple rooms. It looks like restaurants on the Pacific coast of Mexico . Fairly typical Mexican decor with lots of artifacts contributing to a seaside vibe. I ordered fish tacos. It took a bit of time... More
