It is a loud environment but the food is outstanding. Sometimes the service leaves something to be desired but the seafood makes up for everything. Have the pariallada. Eat till you are stuffed and then eat more. It is so tasty and fresh you do not want to miss out. If you are in the area stop. We drive all... More

One thing I noticed is the whole fish craze...everyone orders the Snapper, so it must be good?! The food I've had is pretty tasty, especially the rice. The place stays pretty crowded, but you're seated pretty quickly. I'd recommend going at least once, I'm sure you'll probably return.

A wide selection of seafood at very reasonable prices. I've been here a few times and everything has been delicious. The service isn't terrible, but could be better. In the end, the food more than makes up for it. There are no reservations and the wait on a Saturday around 6:30 was 40 minutes so plan accordingly. Definitely worth it... More

Horrible service, not a family friendly restaurant, service not friendly and the menu does not discribe what youre ordering, i order a kids meal and the menu said it came w a piñacolada drink... When asked the server for his piñacolada, she said it was a joke, i dont care if i have to pay for it, just dont false... More

What a surprise ! Fantastic food, prompt service and a really neat setting. Very generous portions of great seafood! Make sure you bring a good appetite. We had the parrillada for two and it was fantastic - a huge platter of grilled and breaded fish, grilled octopus, skirt steak, vegetables, grilled chicken breast, shrimp, crab legs, onions, fried potatoes, rice and... I've had so many of the dishes, we now just split the big platters usually since we go with a few ppl. You will most likely always have left overs and most likely always leave very full and satisfied. This is a good event place (bday, happy hour, going away) just due to decor and over layout. Its open and... More

My first trip to El Barco was last night. Bright, noisy, tables are fairly close together, but festive. Some food was good, some was very good, extremely generous portions. My guess is that some people would enjoy visiting regularly, some only now and then, but among casual Mexican restaurants, this is a good one. Seafood is the specialty, this is... More

One of my favorite dishes is, Huachinango ( mexican style grilled red snapper ). This restaurant serves it as if there is sand between your toes. This is a small restaurant and can be very poplular. Beware and go with a large appetite. One fish can serve a party of two sufficiently. The salsas are on the hot and robust... More

You will never suspect a gem passing buy this restaurant. What comes to mod is that this is just another Mexican place in the city. A friend told me about it a year ago and one night going from a Bulls game we stopped there on the way home. Wow! Never had such tasty food! Right a way they make... More

Fresh seafood presented in a bountiful way that is tasty and succulent. Restaurant is always packed and loud with young families and couples all enjoying the flavors. They serve A LOT of food so when in doubt order less than you think you need. A platter for 2 really satifies 4 along with an appetizer or two. Margaritas are OK...too... More
