Very cool experience eating in a railcar. I came to try the Three Little Pigs sandwich. It was absolutely amazing. We split one sandwich between 2 people and shared an appetizer and that was very filling! Wasn't expensive at all. Note that the restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday. Very close to Chicago station on the blue line. Only about... More

The site is an Atlantic Coast Line diner car serving food from various railroad menus. Can't wait to go back. This is a summer only restaurant. Try this, pick with your eyes closed.

Took a bunch of picky, foodie, colleagues from France and they loved it! For appetizers we loved the warm goat cheese in a spicy tomato sauce served with brioche toast. Their onion soup is fantastic. Their famous Three Little Pig sandwich should be shared unless you go there starving. Their lemon drop martini is yummy.

Best sandwich I've ever tried! Three little pig is a masterpiece from the Devil. Don't die before try it.

What the hell is this place? It's like a bar affixed to a train car with tiny tables and 50s pin-up girls on the walls. As you sit there, it has a "secret clubhouse" feel - the kind of hideout you'd want up in a tree if you were a kid. The place is dark and cramped, so prepare to... More

I stopped in the other night for drinks and it lived up to what I've heard. The drinks are poured, basic & stiff. The martini is left with another drink in the shaker. Default 2 for 1s!

I was not impressed with the Silver Palm. It was not my idea of an idea dining experience. The food was mediocre at best and it was so noisy and there were so many people at the bar that it made hard to listen to the person I was dining with. The bar crowd was obnoxious and definitely getting out... More

I'm a big fan of Anthony Bourdain, and when he declared the "Three Little Piggies" sandwich "Best sandwich in America", well you know this connoisseur of swine had to check this bad boy out. We were in Chicago for a long weekend, and made it my business to have dinner at the Silver Palm. It was such a cool place.... More

First you must be a drinker to enjoy this place. if you are looking for a nice place to relax and get a good meal, don't come here. This is not a kid friendly place, so keep the kids home. Not much fun when you are trying to eat and you have all these people drinking around you and using... More

Yep this is the place that Anthony Bourdain visited in Chicago. This place really is more of a Guy Fieri kinda spot though either way I think you get the point. This is a special kinda place with a great atmosphere and food.
