From the online reviews and the Mitchelin guide signs, I was expecting more. The restaurant is pleasantly but slightly datedly decorated. Service was exceptional. I had the prix fixe: the Alsatian onion tart was very good, the vegetarian Provencal was ok, the visuals and the mouse of the chocolate bombe were good but the bottom cake layer lacked taste. The... My second visit to this restaurant. Both times with my art group. First visit was fine. For the second one I ordered a fillet of salmon. I do not know if they ran out of fillet but I was served two small end pieces. After I complained the waiter offered to take back my plate but being with a group... More

This is a special occasion restaurant, given the prices, but the food is exquisite, the wine list impressive, and the cocktails expertly mixed. The only problem is that it is located in an out-of-the-way corner of a strip mall, and while parking is free, it can be very difficult to find.

Me and my wife went there for our anniversary, and we had one of the best meals of our lives. I had a steak and she had salmon. Both were delicious! The only downside is the price, so it's not the place I'd go every week, but it's definitely worth it to check it out, if you can!

Every item on the menu sounds amazing. Business is good and the service is very attentive. I've been here twice in the last year, and I'll gladly return.

Can't wait for another special occasion to splurge. I was planning to go today around 4 but I see Tuesday evenings they don't open until 5.

If you are looking to provide a treat to your son or daughter attending the University of Chicago, this is probably the nicest restaurant in the Hyde Park area. Food and service was excellent and, for the parents, they have a wonderful wine list. Only complaint from our 6' 4" son -- the food was terrific but the portions were... More

Cozy little restaurant in Hyde Park. Service was attentive, but slow. We had a trout Grenobloise (nice fish, bland preparation), some mushroom crepes (OK, really needed a sauce) and a fruit crisp a la mode (fresh and tart). Our friend had a filet that looked wonderful, but I did not tried. All if that and a bottle of Cotes du... More

This is small place looking at a charming urban square with a fountain, trees, and other small businesses. Actually, it was the only place in Hyde Park with kitchen open till 9 on Sunday night. Very pleasant local atmosphere. The food was excellent: a tuna steak with pepper crust on a bed of lentils, sea scallops, and some mild fish... More
