Description: Welcome to Sabatinos a beautiful old school Italian restaurant with delcious food and great ambieance. You get bread including focaccia - a kind of pizza bread, then a salad and soup, then an entree - try the veal Parmesan, and a side of pasta. Many recommend the baked Alaska dessert. Sabatino"s is dimly lit with flowers on every table, this Italian-American restaurant has been the perfect date restaurant for about 25 years. Diners might have their steak or seafood entrees complemented by the serenade of strolling musicians in the main room or piano music in the bar area. Angelo Pagni, who owns the restaurant with his brother, Enzo, said Sabatino's is popular in the neighborhood for a lot of reasons, food and atmosphere and chief among them. Stop in today!

On my last visit to Chicago, I wanted to go to an old school Italian restaurant, like the kind I grew up with. After a little research, I decided we would head over to Sabatino's. I was not disappointed! This place has the real thing: handmade, classic Italian food. Starting with the pizza bread appetizer then on to the homemade... More

When you first walk in, you walk into a piano bar. We ended up being seated at one of the bar tables, as we did not want to wait for a table in one of the dining rooms. They brought a pizza bread, almost immediately, which was quite tasty and after that, they brought a large full loaf of warm... More

I'm a bit of a restaurant guy. Not one for stuffy or pretentious places though. I'm from Chicago. I moved away almost 20 years and boy do I miss the food! One of my absolute favorites to visit when I go home is Sabatino's. I was lucky enough to be in Chicago and have dinner there last week. The food... More

Sabatino's is a classy neighborhood Italian restaurant in Old Irving Park. Great for groups, it can also be a romantic experience. One sure thing is that you won't leave hungry. They serve pizza bread before you even order. And that's followed by warm crusty Italian bread that's soft on the inside. Their olive oil with herbs is on each table.... More

If you like being extremely crowded like cattle when dining, and you want to pay $18 for simple angel hair pasta, garlic, oil and mushrooms (could not even taste the garlic), this is the place for you. My husband ordered the "chef's favorite" which was vermicelli with garlic, oil and shrimp and I ordered the same without the shrimp, assuming... More

Our first anniversary & what a surprise, our friends brought us here for dinner. Italian food is our favorite & our dinner was exceptional! Cozy, hospitable atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed and immediately served oven fresh pizza bread along with warm loaf of bread. Delicious bottle of house Chianti. My husband had the fish special and I had a special... More

We'd driven by this place on the northwest side of Chicago for years and always wondered about it. Last night, good friends of ours, who had discovered Sabatino's, took us there. What a pleasant surprise: excellent food, savvy waitstaff, good service, old-style, excellent Italian food. Interestingly, the day before we went to Sabatino's was our wedding anniversary, and we had... More
