This place is a great find in Lakeview on Halsted. Valet parking starts the visit, followed by a friendly greeting, fast seating, and an older crowd vibe with tables close together but still conversation friendly. Waitstaff was not only friendly and efficient but knowledgeable and the wine list reasonable. Glass of Rioja at $11 was superb. Had to drink two,... More

I visited Erwin for brunch with my husband and a friend last sunday. We had one of the tables at the front and enjoyed an excellent breakfast/brunch. The location itself is pleasant, the music enjoyable and the waiters always friendly. I had bought a groupon in advance but somehow - I lost it on my phone. We had announced the... More

Amazing food. Even better martinis. (I dare you to drink 2.) Erwin's is a great place for a weeknight dinner.

Had brunch with friends at Erwin's. A great place, with excellent service. A well trained staff who know what they are doing. Has a decent brunch menu that was fairly priced. Food was prepared very well, and thoroughly enjoyed by our party of four. Recommended.

We liked the setting, and even with it crowded you could easily hold a conversation. The food was presented well, and tasted good, but it wasn't memorable. The prices were good and I would go back again. I was not pleased with the $9 valet charge, but at least they have that option otherwise I would have spent time searching... More

Haven't been to Erwin for quite awhile so we decided to try it Saturday before theatre. We were very disappointed in our meal. The running theme of everything we tried was that everything was uninspired and lacked flavor. I had the chicken livers appetiver which sounded from the menu decription like it might be unique. What came to the table... More

We went for brunch. Hearty. Well crafted. More than pleasant service. We will return.

Good food, not great. Kinda weird atmosphere with oldies playing, and most of the customers in 40 to 70 age range. Burger was good, fries were bad. Portions were on the small side. Desert was very good. Mushroom cakes were good - not great. Essentially, I have nothing good or bad to say about this place. I can't complain but... More

We were in Boystown and didn't have a reservation for dinner. The places in the "heart" of Boystown were packed but our friend knew of this place. the place wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately. The server was very quick and efficient. I had the beet salad which was very good and the veal flank steak which was slightly... More
