Classic Italian-American comfort food, Family friendly and relaxing

I love this place. I haven't been to other Leona's (yet), but this one has a very Chicago-y (?!) vintage/cool vibe. They have huge TVs playing very varied music videos- not too loud, it does add to (rather than subtracting from) the ambiance. Leona's has classic American-Italian food (as opposed... read more

I remember when this was the only location, a 12 table restaurant, delicious, happy, unholy fabuous deep dish pizza. Then there were 5 cuz each kid got a restaurant. After a decade -plus out of Chicago this was my first stop during a visit. Also went to the Division St. location. No more deep dish pizza? In Chicago? cardboard crusts,... More

Due to some family dispute, the place is now called Lina's. A truly awful meal there with substandard good and even worse service. Credit card system went down which resulted in us nearly missing our 8:00 show while they screwed around trying to fix it. Also note just beer and wine. Avoid.

Super chill spot after a day at the museum! Ravioli appetizer worth coming back for and the pizza was fantastic. The best part of this experience was the excellent service frim Brandon!

I'm a bit late in writing this review. I was hoping that one of my many telephone calls or emails that were sent after the event would be returned by Leona's, but their lack of response is prompting me to write this review. I hosted a college graduation party for my daughter at Leona's back in May 2013, with approximately... More

On my first visit to Chicago, I was treated to this little pizzeria and came away feeling stuffed and satisfied. We (four of us) ate the Italian pot roast, Italian-American duo (with lasagna and mac-n-cheese), fish and shrimp with a side of lasagna and mac-n-cheese, and the chicken breasts with sides of lasagna and mac-n-cheese. Three of the four had... More

Food was great! Nice portion. Service is horrible. Not even mediocre. The wait staff was more interested in their gossip then checking on tables they just stood at their station.

The food was so excellent but the service was so bad. The Chefs here deserve much better help. Waited 15 minutes for water/service when we first was seated. Then proceeded to see our waitress in 20 minute increments, even after we made contact and requested something. We came around 9pm on a Tuesday night so the staff were going through... More

We ordered this food delivered to our hotel and it was fabulous. The calamari appetizer was insane. The fettucine alfredo with roasted veggies was fab and the 5 cheese lasagna ruled. The garlic bread is not to be missed. Eat here for sure.

While in Chicago, I always try to visit Leona's. Excellent food and service every time. Pizza and pasta are excellent choices, but the menu is large and everything is good--burgers, salads, chicken dishes all worth trying. The Sheffield location is also a fun people watching spot.
