After reading some of the good reviews, decided to go and check this place out. I have to add that I am Colombian and I have been to multiple colombian restaurants mostly on the east coast, I was really looking forward for my visit here. Location and ambiance was excellent. After getting the menu I was sueprised at how expensive... More

Las Tablas has become a "must visit" any time I am in Chicago. The food is delicious and plentiful, and according to my friends who spent many years in Colombia, it's pretty authentic. My favorite dish is the meat platter for 2, which comes with a variety of mouth watering meats, plantain, and yucca. The service is always good. It's... More

The food here is so good. The sangria is delicious. The restaurant smells amazing. The green sauce they put on the table tastes great on everything. It is a lively atmosphere. Would be a good place to go with a group of friends, even children. A nice spot for couples as well. There are a few tables outside . They... More

The last time we ate here the food was much better. Those that had steaks said they were good , but my octopus and squid and my wife's chicken and shrimp were both over cooked and very, very salty. I should have sent them both back. Service was okay.

Great empanadas and sangria. The skirt steak was tender moist and delicious and the sweet plaintain that came with it was excellent. Great service with a lively atmosphere. Reasonably priced food and wine and generous portions. Definitely worth a visit!

Just happened to be driving by hungry and gave it a try. Really glad we stopped. Reasonably priced bottles of wine and great food also very reasonably priced. Generous portions will easily provide lunch the next day. Even though it is a "steakhouse" there are some good options for vegetarians as well. I had the cheese empanada (use the spicy... More

We've been going here for several years and always found it to be good. But this time was our last. We had 7 PM reservations made through opentable.com and although we had a short wait, we were taken down to the basement past the restrooms and we were seated in a cold room. The smell from the bathroom was unwelcome... More

I dined here with a group and the food was good. We started with empanadas and arepas and I could have made a meal out of them. I ordered the combinaciones with skirt steak and pork loin. It came with sweet plantain, yucca, and potato. The skirt steak was the best I've ever had. It was tender and moist and... More

The food had Mexican taste, but is no wander since the cook and most workers there are Mexican. If I want a restaurant ran by Mexicans I wouldn't choose a Colombian one, rather I would go to Taco King or pick one of the many Mexican restaurants in town.
