Mon Ami Gabi is a classic French bistro and steakhouse. While the favorites are all here in abundance, there is always something new to try from the ever-evolving menu. The traditional menu features classics such as the warm Onion Soup Au Gratin, Frisee & Bacon Salad with a soft-poached egg and croutons, Roast Chicken grand-mere style with mushrooms, bacon and pearl onions, as well as the trademark Steak Frites. To complement the cuisine, an extensive selection of over 80 boutique French wine varietals are served by the glass or bottle from our signature rolling wine cart. Guests will enjoy the airy interior with our large French windows opening out onto the Lincoln Park Conservatory, or in the summer months, the lovely outdoor garden. Please Note: Reservations are taken for indoor seating only. Outdoor patio seating is available on first-come, first-serve bases.

Reasonable prices for great Lincoln Park Restaurant

We have ridden by Mon Ami Gabi for a long time and finally made the decision to try it. What a find! From the moment we were seated (outside) and greeted by Denise, the evening progressed in a fun filled, food fest way. Denise gave us some great wine advice (complete with a few tastes) to... read more

As returning Chicago visitors if possible we enjoy coming here for dinner. The serving staff is always polite and efficient with helpful suggestions. Its location adjacent to Lincoln Park make it an excellent destination after a visit to the zoo. Food is good value although not inexpensive and wine selection is outstanding Will return on next visit.

I actually visited a few years back. We lived in the Belden for a short time while work was being done on our house. The food was delicious and the ambiance quite nice. Service was fast and efficient but we didn't feel rushed. I've actually dined here about 4 times and each time was a positive experience with great food.

Just a pleasant dining experience in a French Bistro in Lincoln Park. We've been here twice in the past 5 years and I was a bit concerned after reading some recent negative reviews. We dined om June 06/20/2015 and found it as delightful as out last visit 4 years ago. They have a very small, quaint bar and you are... More

The restaurant was packed for dinner. Even with reservations we had to wait about 10 mins. Not bad at all for the wonderful dinner we enjoyed. The restaurant had served a brunch all day and we couldn't tell that our server, Diane, had been working since that morning. She was absolutely the BEST! Friendly, good sense of humor and knowledgeable... More

As a next door neighbor, I have dined at Mon Ami Gabi and it's predecessor for decades. However, service on last 2 visits was substantially worse than past experience. On one visit, despite a reservation, we were kept waiting for over an hour. The host in this instance did offer apologies and comped both wine and dessert, which was appreciated... More

Our family had dinner here to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday and Father's Day. The service was friendly and efficient and our waiter made the evening relaxing and fun. Outstanding mussels and escargot to start as well as flavorful French onion soup. Steak frites classic was comfort food at its best, the wild boar ragu made my daughter miss living... More

We went to this restaurant after a recommendation from a colleague. We had early reservations at 5:30. The location is surrounded by park, which makes it quite pleasant. Our food was very good, especially the cold heirloom tomato soup. Each table receives a loaf of warm bread which is also a nice touch. My husband had the steak frites and... More
