great food - great atmosphere!

Delicious salad bar! Very fresh, plentiful, and great options. It was perfect for kids - they loved the variety and going back up for more. one negative, very very crowded! often squeezing through tables lifting a 2 year old way up to avoid hitting someone in the head.

We were told this is more of a local favorite and not as much a tourist destination. The place was packed and I see why. We had reservations and I would strongly advise doing that. People were waiting for over an hour. The burgers we got were amazing. The homemade chips were very good. We got a coconut milkshake and... More

We dined here after spending the day at the zoo. Luckily we had made reservations for 5:00 as they were packed by 5:15. The salad bar looked very tempting and lots of diners were getting salads but we opted for just burgers. Both my husband and I got the Bacon Cheddar burgers and they were delicious. The cottage fries were... More

We popped in due to location and we're glad we did- nice service and ate a good burger and club sandwich with yummy chips. Quirky place and they had a small bar with a huge salad bar. We did not need to wait for a table for lunch and enjoyed the warm atmosphere.

We've been there with friends and their children for dinner. Although in a bit quiet neighbourhood, this is a very nice and cosy restaurant, a bit pub like. The staff is very friendly and they serve very good American food. They also have good beer. Only "problem", but I believe this is not attached at this particular restaurant, is that... More

I used to come here with my wife before we were married - 25 years ago. I am happy to report, as we visited again this month with two of our teenaged kids, that RJ's is still very good! Burgers are some of the best around (cooked to order... And they will do medium-rare!) and the milkshakes are really good...... More

Stopped in on our way out for the evening to grab a bite before a show. Very comfortable ambiance with wood accents everywhere. Pretty casual. We (3) each ordered burgers and we were all extremely happy we did. Pretty decent size patties cooked exactly as requested. Nice when you have places to go and don't have time to send it... More

Stopped by for dinner after visiting the zoo. Conveniently located right across the street from the Lincoln Park Zoo, this little pub-style restaurant was an easy choice. The menu was simple: burgers, sandwiches and salads, with a few entrees. Had a burger which was very tasty and the home style chips were a nice change from regular fries. Overall, very... More

We popped in here with 4 kids and 3 adults and they packed us in tight. It's a small venue...not much wiggle room. But the prices and food were good. I had the fish and chips (fish great...chips decent) and my children had a cheeseburger (8oz and very thick hardly any cheese) and hot dog (boiled not grilled). The fries... More
