Good Food, Good Music, Good Location

Growing up in the city of Chicago, I visited R.J. Grunts numerous times and have never been disappointed. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon - off hours - just after lunch but before the dinner rush. So our wait time was not long - only about 10 minutes. The atmosphere is fun. Pictures of... read more

I don't understand the ratings. It's great for kids, because they give them good activities. The burgers are on store bought sesame buns. The bacon was chewy. The patty was kind of bland. The fries were completely "blah." The sweet potato fries were quite good. The burger baskets are very large. Soda costs 3.00. I gave it three stars because... More

Haven't visited RJ Grunts in a few months, and glad to find out very little has changed. Service is quick, friendly, and accommodating. Love the rotating craft beer on tap, with Three Floyd's Gumball Head always available as a fall back. The food is of course straight forward pub grub for the most part, at least that is what we... I was at RJ's for lunch after visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo. I am not a complainer but this has to be posted. I am from Chicago and I frequent customer at the LEYE restaurants - my favorite being Wildfire. My experience at RJ's was inexcusable. After placing our order for a burger and Blt sandwich we sat as tables... More

We had lunch at RJ Grunts with 3 adults + 2 kids after a visit to the Lincoln Park Zoo, and it made for a great day out. The staff were very friendly, and the casual atmosphere is quirky, fun and unpretentious. The kids menu makes for easy dining with kids - they were very happy with the activity booklet,... More

A very positive experience! We loved the food and our server was so great. Close to the Lincoln park zoo for a quick stroll during our brief wait for a table on a Saturday afternoon.

This original Lettuce Entertain You restaurant is loud but fun, small and often packed, so we try to go on off hours. The food is consistently good - great salad bar! And the service is friendly and eager to please, even though they are running around and juggling tables like circus performers. If you're in Lincoln Park visiting the zoo... More

This is a cute restaurant. Good location in the heart of Lincoln Park. Food was just ok. Hamburgers say they are 1/2 pound but I am not sure that is the case. We had 3 people orders burgers and none of them were very big. The bun dwarfed the meat. However the atmosphere is fun and they play non-stop 70's... More

A lot of fun, large tasty portions and great service. But worth the one-hour wait for a table? I think not.
