Fun place to visit, but big wait for a table

A lot of fun, large tasty portions and great service. But worth the one-hour wait for a table? I think not.

This is a cute restaurant. Good location in the heart of Lincoln Park. Food was just ok. Hamburgers say they are 1/2 pound but I am not sure that is the case. We had 3 people orders burgers and none of them were very big. The bun dwarfed the meat. However the atmosphere is fun and they play non-stop 70's... More

We usually make a yearly summer pilgrimage walk to RJ Grunts. It is the very first Lettuce Entertain You restaurant. It was named after the Richard Melman (LEYE founder) and his first partner, Jerry A. Orzoff - their first initials and the sound a pig makes. I like the burgers with sweet potato fries and my husband likes their fish... More

I had wanted to go to this restaurant since it opened in the '70's. I brought my husband and we were not disappointed. Service was outstanding by our waitress Shoshanna. Food was excellent with mouthwatering burgers, fries and shakes. It does get very crowded so go early. We went at 11:30AM and by the time we left, the place was... More

We stopped in around noon on the way to the Lincoln Park Zoo before the July 4th holiday and it was packed. We were lucky to get a table. Being so close to the Zoo the restaurant is very kid friendly although it's a tight squeeze between all the tables. The staff won't allow strollers of any kind into the... More

This is a rather noisy, sports bar type of place, but the sandwiches are good, and the salad bar is outstanding. Huge selection of items, and nicely done. It is crowded but can be a fun place to go after a day at the Zoo in Lincoln Park.

I was reliving my youth and thought that we could go buy one of my grandmother's favorite places with my son. The wait was short, we sat down and ordered a couple of craft beers. Service was prompt we of course ordered world famous burgers, cooked to perfection. I'm sure that it's a stop when in Chicago

RJ Grunts is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant located near the Lincoln Park Zoo. It is a popular hangout for couples, friends, and families. It is like stepping back in time to the 70s when you enter the doors. The funky décor, music, and food all contribute to your wonderful dining experience. The restaurant has a large menu that boasts its... More

We ate luncht at R.J. Grunts in Mid June during a 2 week stay in Skokie/Chicago as part of an Idf disabled veterans delegation. We were a party of about 20 people. Food was great. Service and atmosphere were good too. You can choose between a few dishes or opt for the salad bar which is what I did. There... More

This restaurant had a great endless salad bar. It was not large in size, but good in contents, (soup, salad and fruit.) Other members in our party ordered lunch plates. There was a large amount of food provided. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
