Been here several times and it's always a real pleasure. Meals consist of fresh seasonal produce and flavorful authentic Italian sauces with fresh herbs, even in the dead of a brutal Chicago winter. Let me tell you how great this place is: I ate here about 3 times before I realized this was a vegetarian restaurant.

We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Rose Angelis, not knowing what to expect.. One of her friends made the reservations. But we are very glad we came to this restaurant. They had no problem accommodating our party of 13 on a Friday evening. Given its location in the middle of a residential neighborhood, and the layout of the restaurant, I... More

Great Italian food. From the bread, olive oil to the main entre. Large helpings. Romantic atmosphere but it can get noisy and can get hard to hear in a group. In spite of that I look forward to going back and trying the outdoor seating.

To say that this is my favorite place in the city is kind of an err, an understatement. I've lived in the neighborhood, and have celebrated every major accomplishment - figuring out a 2 wheeler to my masters degree celebration - all with my family & friends. It has become a staple for my friends as their favorite Chicago neighborhood... More

We visited Chicago over Valentine's weekend and had a wonderful time! We ran into another couple from Chicago and they told us about Rose Angelis and told us it was a "must do" in the city. We are so glad we took their recommendation and tried it. The restaurant was able to squeeze us in for a Valentine's dinner and... More

I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. This is a great restaurant, tucked away in a nice neighborhood in Chicago that caters to the locals. The meals are always fantastic, from classics like lasagna, to originals like pear ravioli. The fish specials are perhaps the best fish in town and my wife craves their "Zuppa di... More

Had a fabulous meal w great wine. Server was a doll and made our well mannered, foodie kids (ages 8-13) feel so welcome. The place is a brownstone with such a cozy feel. However, all tables are well spaced and in a few different rooms. As a former server, I also loved that servers pick up food at an actual... More

A friend was asking where to eat in Chicago. Rose Angelis was my suggestion. The food here is wonderful. Started off with wine and appetizers. The food portions are large so you will be taking home leftovers. I highly recommend Rose Angelis for dinner.

Came here with family an were very excited for a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The price was right and the portions were huge (1 pasta dish can EASILY fill up two people). This place has a great atmosphere. However, our waitress didn't even know if any of the pastas were homemade - turns out they all are. We ordered the house... More

10 of us dined here and had a wonderful meal. Our server was friendly and made great recommendations. The food was delicious, and attractively presented. The portions are huge--shared a couple of appetizers and salads for the table, then each shared a pasta with one other person--and we had more than enough to eat! Two desserts and 10 spoons were...
