Light up lemonades :)

We chose to eat here because we are huge fans of Forrest Gump. We had an hour wait in which we walked around and sat for a bit. When we were taken back to our table our waitress was very nice and promptly got our drinks. We all (my husband, brother and myself) got the lemonade that was on... read more

I have been to quite a few Bubba Gumps. If you have never been, you have to go. All of them are based on the movie Forrest Gump with cute decor. The gift shops have lots of cool things too. This particular one had friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. As busy as they were, food came quick and we... More

While at the pier we found it difficult to find non-chain restaurants so we decided this menu was most apealing. As expected this was like every other Bubba Gump location, which is not all bad. The quality and overall value was good, but I thought an $8.50 beer (without buying the glass) was a bit high. It's not like your... More

I love the movie, but the restaurant was OK. Service was friendly, we had to wait an hour for our table and the food was good but a bit overpriced. I really disliked the bathrooms. With 2 young girls we visit the bathroom several times at each restaurant we are at and we had to wait in line (a long... More

If you like Forrest Gump, and you like shrimp, I'd take a bet on you liking this place. We enjoyed the novelty factor, and the good quality shrimp topped off the experience. We went for one of the sharing dishes, might have been called Forrests Catch, or something along those lines - consisted of coconut shrimp, tempura shrimp, hush pups,... More

Service, atmosphere, and food are good. I ordered the steamed bucket for $25 and while it was good, the portion was lacking. The bucket came with 1 lobster claw, 1 cluster of crab legs, 4 mussels, 4 clams, rice and bread... walked away still hungry.

Amazing food in a fun environment. We had shrimps to start followed by shrimps 4 ways for my husband and fish on mashed potatoes for me. Then (as if we needed more) we had cookie and icecream. Every single element was done to perfection. I really didn't anticipate such a good standard of food - I thought it might just... More

Best Arnold Palmer I ever had (made with sweet tea) A little pricey but the food was great and the waiter was topnotch.

Nice convenient place to get a great shrimp dinner while at Navy Pier. I had Shrimper's Heaven which is a mix of 4 different types of shrimp, all awesome! They are served with three different sauces which worked well. Kids meals are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is really fun. The Forest Gump movie is playing in the bar area... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
