I usually love this place but lately it's been a big let down! Went for breakfast and it was awful!!! The bacon wasn't whole slices, couple pieces of potatoes is what they call hash browns with mostly onions, must have scraped the bottom of pan, eggs were horrible!!! I mostly go to downtown one where food is good! Take a... More

Desperate for a morning latte, it was either Starbucks or this place. The line up at Starbucks was crazy, so we chose the Bakery. It was a good choice. They made great breakfast sandwiches. We had the healthy egg sandwiches on multigrain, Adding tomatoes was not a problem. The smoothies were also delicious. Returned the next day to find the... More

Restaurant environment in the Windy is competitive beyond the Big Apple’s imagination. I was at that end of State feeling disappointed by Barnes and Noble across the street. Needed breakfast. This was not the best breakfast I had in Chicago, but it was just fine: neat, clean, economical, polite service, quick, and adequate selection for me. A beautiful day; sat... More

I love stopping by Corner Bakery to have breakfast, brunch or a mid-afternoon snack. I love their egg and tomato croissant and their chicken alfredo pasta, two delicious options for a brunch. Also, there are lots of Corner Bakery cafes in Chicago, just keep walking and you'll find one close to you.

This was just across the street from where we stayed. Breakfast and lunch were both good. Everyone was friendly and service fast.

If your morning flow is important to you skip it. decent enough breakfast. Getting to that points a bit of work. As you come in it's a bit confusing for first timers. ( Do i sit or wait to be seated etc ?? ) The suggestion is order your food then find seating and Someone will bring your order :-/... More

Great staff and very friendly service. Food was good overall although I was not expecting the Tomato Bisque to be quite so sweet. Would definitely go back.

This was our first stop downtown. The counter staff left a bit to be desired. She was not at all friendly or helpful. William made up for her lack of enthusiasm. He was friendly, helpful, and made us feel like valued customers. The food was very good and flavorful. The cinnamon roll was the favorite at our table! I highly... More

Just a couple of blocks from our hotel it was a welcome spot on a cold (very cold) winter morning. We both had the steel-cut oats and they were great. The service was quick and we were out there too soon. If in the area we will go back. Two thumbs up from us.

After being on the road and eating out every meal, the Corner Bakery was a nice change. I got a great lo-cal breakfast, no fuss, no wait. It was fresh and the latte was very good. I will go back the next time I'm in Chicago for lunch!
