Fabulous desserts

The desserts were a highlight...artful, fun and delicious. The sushi was quite good, of course. The Angry Chicken was just okay. We were a bit disappointed with the decor in comparison to Chef Morimoto's Honolulu and NYC restaurants. The Chicago location is pretty ordinary. However, next time, we... read more

We had reservations for Mother's Day 2015. Upon arrival, we were greeted by no less than four staff, and we hadn't been there 30 seconds! This is no exaggeration - we were 20 minutes early for our reservation and expected to wait. No wait necessary, we were seated immediately. Our waiter looked and carried himself more like management - I'm... More

Close to the same look as before it was taken over by Chef Morimoto. Nice waterfall at the entrance. Small bar for cocktails to hang out while waiting for a seat. There is a very long sushi bar with multiple cooks. Reservations are at 630pm got here a few minutes early and are waiting about 10 minutes so far. Not... More

I took my wife and 2 cousins here for her birthday, and I am so happy that I did. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the service, was outstanding. Our waiter was super attentive, made some great suggestions, specifically the rock shrimp and the lamb shank, I could just go on and on about what an experience. Just awesome.

My American friends in Chicago introduced and booked this restaurant. Foods and the atmosphere (including interiors) were luxury and amazing. But they weren't original Japanese, but like French (Fusion cuisine). Then, Foods : 4/5 (not original Japanese, but fusion and beautiful decorated) Taste : 3/5 (exactly tasty but some foods were too unconventional) Atmosphere : 5/5 (Luxury like a high-class... More

Huge restaurant, and this Thursday totally full. The noise was enormous, not possible to talk quitly together. A view to all the chefs cooking behind the desk with the rawmaterials exposed to the guests was quite charming. The service (at least our waiter) superficial, uninterested and slow. But the food was fine, and expensive! We had dishes to share, all... More

I had dinner here during Restaurant Week in Chicago and we chose the pre-selected menu. We sat at the sushi bar so we could watch the chefs at week (very entertaining...would recommend this!) The food was really delicious and was shared between two diners (myself and a friend/client). She is more adventurous than I am when it comes to food... More

Very yummy with a nice variety of sushi choices. Interesting and fun for groups. We were quite rowdy and they rolled with it. Presentation was beautiful.

I had a lovey celebratory early dinner here with a friend and the experience was outstanding in all respects. The environment was welcoming, the service was attentive, and the tastes were exceptional. We combined steak cooked table top on a hot rock, sushi, and a hot entree and shared all. The menu lends itself well to sharing. The preparation and... More
