We have been spending a weekend in Chicago for over 15 years. No trip is complete without a trip to Foodlife. I would describe it as if Lettuce Entertain You and a Foodcourt had a baby. If you can't find what you want at Foodlife. You don't KNOW what you want. We are a group of six ranging in age from... More

Great restaurant when you are on the run. Lots of choices, great prices nice wine bar. This is a bar type restaurant where the food is prepared and you help yourself. Very clean and sanitary.

Darkish, closed-in feeling with quirky lighting. You can't tell what they have charged you for a particular item when you receive your food as it goes on a "card" that you carry around; when you check out, a service charge will be automatically added to the bill. Some nice choices of certain foods. Irritatingly, the mall's internet is not available... More

You've been shopping for hours, ad you really want to sit down. You see that there is a food court in the Water Tower Shops, but all the tables are taken. No problem. Walk right in to Foodlife. They will take you to your assigned table, give you a card, and then you can walk around and order anything you... More

Many choices for good foods. Some are slow to serve, others fast. Good place for infants and kids, too.

There are so many options and so much good food to choose from. I love this place, and in fact, I always come here when I am in the area. The options are aplenty, and the food is made with impeccable standards. Real food, really done well. The crepes are to die for, so make sure you get the Nutella... More

Found this by accident as I was walking off a jetlag on my first afternoon in dowtown Chicago. This fit the bill for hot, reasonably healthy food. After passing over the Pasta, Soup and some other stuff - i settled for a Veggie Stir Fry. Was staffed by a single, rather sullen cook/ cashier. But I found the concept (you... More

What a treat to discover Foodlife in the Water Tower centre. The day I came upon it there were 37 different items from local chefs and restaurants featured as well as many other choices. Where else can you satisfy your taste by just taking a small portion of a dish and paying for it by weight? The quality and freshness... More

Foodlife was one of the best restaurant concepts to come to Watertower Place in Chicago. At the time, there were only a few to select from, and we could never decide where to go. If you have a family or group that has different likes in their food selection, then Foodlife is where you want to go. The various food... More
