Excellent service!

We stopped into Hugo's on a cold, busy night and they were more than happy to squeeze us in without a wait. Our server (I don't remember his name) was on his game and friendly. While I didn't much care for, nor do I recommend, the $50+ Australian lobster tail as it didn't have much of any flavor... read more

Valentine's eve, had a great meal, seemed slightly overpriced but it was tasty. I've tried them years before and my scallops were overlooked, his time they were too salty, but everything else was great. I had an excellent server and I loved sitting right off the kitchen, I could see all the dishes coming out. Seemed a tad loud but... More

Took my wife to Hugo's last night for her birthday. This is one of our favorite spots when we visit downtown Chicago. We were seated promptly. Our server, Michael, was very knowledgeable about the menu, had some ordering tips and was a pleasant waiter. For starters, the lobster brisk was outstanding. I ordered the Cajun chicken and crab and my... More

We went to this site due a friend recomendation but became frustrated: the place do not meet the expectatives. I opted by the specialty of the site, the Hugo's Lobster tail, that at 50+ dollars is not cheap. My friends choosed other lobster plates My lobster tail was really mediocre and in any way can be rated at more than... More

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Sea bass and skirt steak choices were perfectly served and the waiter (Mike P) was beyond helpful.

This is the place to go for steak in Chicago. The meat is ekstraordinary, and the menu has everything you want from a perfect steak restaurant. Forget everything about fusioncooking with strange servings and odd sideorders. Here you get suprême food cooked to perfection. The staff is very accommodating and the service is spotless with no fuss. When I was... More

Hugo's is the best of two worlds - you can get fabulously fresh seafood or a Gibson's steak! They have a great selection of oysters and the steak is perfect (Gibson prime). The king crab salad was very tasty as was the crabcake. Did not have room for dessert! Old school waitstaff that is friendly and knowledgeable. Book early if... More

The seafood at Hugo's is among the best you can experience away from the east coast. It is a very expensive restaurant. A dinner for five cost $440. I had the Chilean Sea Bass in a miso reduction with mushrooms and peas and it was beautifully seared and tasted great. My wife had the crab cake and filet and the... More

I love this place! I have been to Hugo's a number of times and was first taken there on a work meal by my boss and the rest of the team. The atmosphere is buzzy and really good fun but still there are a lot of professionals around so it doesn't lose it's sophistication. The service is really good and... More
