We dined at Spiaggia in celebration of our 43rd anniversary. We were warmly greeted and wished Happy Anniversary by the host. We had requested a seat by the windows and were seated there promptly. Our server was friendly and anticipated our every need. All wine and food was brought at an appropriate pace. We were not rushed in any way... More

Let me start by saying that if angels made Gnocchi, Spiaggia's pillows from culinary heaven were one of the most decadent delicacies I ever had. Our main course (succulent loin) was cooked to perfection. The service was better than some of the other landmark, marquee restaurants that I have dined at (Rule's London, Four Seasons, Jean Georges, Le Cirque). It... More

We ate several times at Spiaggia years ago, then stopped going when friends told us that quality had declined. But now, under a new chef, things are back to the old standards. We had an anniversary dinner here and were very impressed with how everyone on the service staff--from the hostess at the desk to the waiter to the sommelier... More

Warm, cozy restaurant. You can notice that the ingredients used are fresh and selected carefully. Every dish has a peculiar touch, for example the carpaccio has a spicy taste that I loved. The gnocchi was wonderful! Highly recommed it!

We were celebrating our anniversary in Chicago and selected Spiaggia as a treat. It is VERY expensive, but we thought everything was delicious! For the first course, my husband had the Cervo (raw, diced venison with smoked trout tie, pumpernickel and horseradish ) and I had the Caprese salad (not your typical buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes), but one with heirloom... In this case, the phoenix, being the Spiaggia Restaurant, never vanished. It only went through a long hibernation--meaning "extensive remodeling." The new room, artfully done, is far more spacious and friendly now. The bar area at the entry is expanded and is welcoming. However, the decor although elegant, appears to be a bit austere. A large flower arrangement at the... More

Fantastic Italian food! Well executed, well served in a beautiful setting. Menu is upscale and fresh and servers are knowledgable and super attentive. You would not be disappointed. Getting in and out of the building is a bit challenging but hey it's Chicago.
