I say "spectacularly" because the restaurant itself is spectacular and dramatic with a view of Lake Michigan and Lake Shore Drive. It is spread over two stories a couple of floors up from the street. I will try to upoad a photo. The food is wonderful. I ate Osso Buco that was to die for. My wife ate "Maialino" which... More

I'm giving this 1 start just because I can't give -100. When you go to a 1 Michelin Star restaurant, you expect some excellent food. On top of that, when they charge you $48 for a Carbonara, it better be a damn good one! Right? Wrong! This was the worst dinner experience I've had in a long time. But let... More

This restaurant is the package! Service is attentive, professional, interested. Setting is modern with huge windows overlooking busy Chicago interesection as restaurant is on the second floor. But the food is the main event here. Chestnut soup very smooth and creamy with pomegranates. The riggatoritti was outstanding, delicate, moist, complex complementary flavours. Restaurant portions are sufficiently small for you to... More

I was excited to visit this restaurant due to the reviews as well as it being Obama's favorite. The meal was extremely disappoint and not worth the money. We both started with the carbonara. It wasn't bad but very average. I had the ribeye and my husband had the pork shank. Mine was a very average steak. I ordered medium... More

Ate here for my 10th wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. The gnocci was amazing and the pork dish I had was OK. They brought over a large desert tray for us and that was amazing. If you go here, make sure you give the gnocci a try. I for sure will come back and try some of their other... More

We use to eat here for several years in a row on our anniversary many many years ago and haven't been since the recent renovation and i must admit i enjoy the layout much better than the previous dining room. Service was very friendly and professional and the staff displayed thorough knowledge of the food as well as the ingredients... More

It had been many years since I had dinner at Spiaggia. I had heard they had renovated and thought I would see what they were up to. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was very attentive. However, the food left me disappointed. The portions were very small. One of the dishes I ordered was a pasta dish, and I couldn't even... More

Dined at Spiaggia 12/8 and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Superior service provided by all, especially David , our server. His promptness and attention to detail was excellent. The meal was wonderful, starting with an assortment of Italian hams and cheese. Risotto followed , done well. The steak upon garlic polenta was prepared perfectly. Dessert was wonderful, assorted gelatos and a... More
