Used to be one of our favorite restaurants in downtown. They are closing and it's no wonder why. Very mediocre.

Scoozi, which has been a fixture in Rivernorth will be closing its doors the end of this month. We've been going to Scoozi ever since it's opened and have always enjoyed it. This last time was special as they brought back a few of the original dishes including the pheasant with polenta and wild mushrooms, which was delicious. We also... More

Tired Scoozi's the weekend before Christmas 2013. I love Italian and wanted to try a place I hadn't been to before. Was with my mom and daughter. The server and staff were great. The place is big, but the food was the worst I have ever had. Caesar salad no one cared for had an off taste. I had squash... More

Went here on a cold, snowy evening. We arrived early, so we waited for our other party members and for our reservation time. We had a drink at the bar. The bar attendants were very attentive and they make a great drink (no skimping on the alcohol here) Once seated, the waiter was great. He knew all the items on... More

Ate here with a party of 5 on 01/11/14. They may have the best bruschetta ever. We also had a really nice bottle of Italian white wine. 5 main courses, 2 of them off menu, and each was excellent. I had a flat noodle bolognese. My wife had a smoked chicken in cream sauce. The daughters each went off menu... More

We live down the street and dine here 3-4 times a month. Service is friendly and the setting is awesome...a large repurposed room that once served as a garage of some sort. We usually sit in the bar, run by a friendly fellow named Bruno. The menu is not exhaustive, but you will find the foundation of a competent Italian-based... More

It was my first night in Chicago after a very long (20+hrs) trip from Brisbane to LA to Chicago. I was absolutely famished and in need of non-airline food and surroundings. The concierge recommended Scoozi, just across the road from the apartments I was staying at. A cold night but a warm welcome and hospitality. Sat up at the bar... More

This was a recommendation from a friend who lives in Chicago. She's usually spot on so we usually follow her advice. The service was great! We were seated about 5 minutes after we arrived and our table of 4 soon became a table of 6 when 2 additional friends wanted to join us. The people next to us were leaving... More

We had a wonderful girls night at Scoozis! The food was very good and our server was amazing!!! She was able to answer wine questions and give us suggestions. The only problem is if you are looking to eat fast and go this isn't the place -- you are there to eat slow and relax.
