To understand this review you need to know a little about me. I have a significant swallowing problem and I am a hard grader. I would rate this experience as a 4.5 out of 5. We let the staff know about my swallowing problem and the Executive Sous Chef came out and discussed my problem and how we could satisfy... More

My wife kept saying that this or that was the best she'd ever had. Presentation was as good as any, and food and taste quality a solid A+. The decor was a bit cold for my taste, but my wife loved it and she's an artist. I came for the food and got what I came for!

Every single meal and every single dish is excellent. We live in the neighborhood and when it comes to the "Where do you want to go? I don't know where do you want to go?" conversation; it's almost always Cafe des Architectes and the other party says - "yeah - I was thinking that too". Not only is the food... More

We were visiting Chicago and picked this restaurant based on the suggestion of a local friend. We were familiar with Sofitel hotels from living in Europe. The dining room was elegant but inviting. This experience was so relaxing, pleasant and delicious. The service was among the best we've ever had. It just made us smile the whole time. We both... More

Whether you live nearby or are a traveler, Café des Architectes is wonderful up-to-date French food in a lovely atmosphere with excellent service and a conversation-friendly noise level. We find it a great place to meet friends when we want to both have an excellent meal and talk. Two of us had the sweetbreads appetizer and enjoyed the preparation very... More

This is one of the best meals we have had in the recent times. We ordered the five course meal with five-wine pairings. The food was delicious! And so were the wines! We were attended by two servers and they detailed every dish to us. Their timing was just perfect for all the courses and they were very friendly and... More

I used to liked this restaurant a great deal and I have rated it very highly on previous occasions. On my last visit, however, I was a bit disappointed. I usually order the 5 course tasting menu. The food was good, but the portions have gotten quite a bit smaller. The wine pours were not as generous as well. Finally,... More

It was a nice evening when we came to have dinner, so we decided to eat outside. For outdoor seating in the city, it was very quiet! Not quiet as in nobody is around, but quiet such that despite people and cars going by you could still have a conversation. We ordered the venison and the tenderloin. What we didn't... More

Great food, sunny atmosphere, great service. Eating outside in good weather an added bonus. The seafood omelet was filled with great stuff. :-)
