Great Date

We ate at MK the day after Valentine's Day, as we only got into Chicago that evening. The food was very good and the server was excellent. We chose to indulge in the tasting menu and were not disappointed. My wife is a wine drinker, though I am not, so she did the wine pairing. I tasted most of... read more

This restaurant is one of those modern restaurants with modern decor and food. And modern service, whatever that is. Everything was great and done professionally. Our waitress was professional and modern. Lol I mean her service was impeccable. Now the food. The food was absolutely amazing. Of course, the portions were small (it's modern, remember), but the food was really... More

Sometimes you just have to celebrate and go all in. Salmon amuse bouche… Oysters with bacon mignonette, Meyer lemon scented pea soup with coconut, the Crab crostini's (which we asked to take home a bowl for a midnight snack) and pommes frites, truffle cream. Lobster/fluke was poached to perfection along with a 6 oz. filet topped with fois gras and... More

The place is very nice and perfect for a dinner with your partner. Nice staff and good food. Wines are good but a bit overpriced.

The ambiance was great, Food was extravagant and delicious. The waiter service were very attentive and caring. But only has steps to private dining and no elevator. Loved the great old fashioned wall sale.

Chicago is loaded with great restaurants and I have spent the better part of my 50 years working the circuit. I have missed MK as I have cancelled more than once for other options. My first not K move. MK was a delight. Comfortable inside with a great method of hiding the kitchen in gentle way that then puts emphasis... More

We meet friends here for dinner because they had heard it was very gluten free friendly. Nearly everything on their menu is either already gluten free or can be modified (except bread items). We started with some incredible Italian wine, brussel sprouts, squid and kale salad to share. All were fabulous and our server, Steven, was very patient with us... More

I booked this restaurant for a friends birthday on our girlfriend getaway weekend to Chicago. It was a great experience. We enjoyed the Prosciutto salad and endive salad as starters. Our mains were the salmon and the whitefish/lobster, which were both delicious. My friend selected the "you're killing me s'mores" dessert which came with a candle and Happy Birthday greeting... I had a special birthday dinner here with a friend on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is a block away from more heavily traveled streets, but well worth finding. We had a reservation but did not need it for that Sunday evening. The ambiance was quite pleasant and the main dining room has 2 levels with a very high ceiling... More

Went early on a Friday evening with the boss. We did the tasting menu with wine pairings. Great pace to the meal, server was very attentive. Food was elegant without being fussy. The room itself was quite nice, and as it filled (we were there for 3 hours) the sound level remained very managable, even for me and I usually... More
