Old school good

This place reminds me of the way restaurants used to be, great servers and great food instead of worried about the feel and ambiance and trendy factor. A somewhat older crowd the night we went, yet crowded, but wow the food was great, reminded me of eating in Paris.

My favorite old standby, this jewel of a spot always delivers. With Kiki at the helm, always suave and on top of things, it all works. Food is consistent and very good. Ambience is wonderful, comfortable, romantic chic country French. Servers are experienced, knowledgeable and friendly but not at all overbearing. The duck is great and always on the menu.... More

Kiki's is a wonderful French Country Bistro! You hardly feel like you're in downtown Chicago. The ambiance is quite cozy and casual, but classy. The small bar is charming and the owners are very friendly. We had Mother's Day brunch and recently dinner at Kiki's. Both were fabulous. Our party dined on Steak Pommes Frites, Coq au Vin, Eggs Benedict,... More

We celebrated a birthday and had a great meal at a decent price. We had the fixed price $29.50 special and ordered from the menu as well. We had the lamb stew, salmon and lamb chops. All were excellent. Service was very good at a busy time with all tables full. Patrons were couples young and older, families and a... More

We hadn't been to Kiki's in almost 6 years, so we were looking forward to seeing if it had changed much. It hasn't! The service was attentive, but not overwhelming. We were looking forward to enjoying the duck, and also had the Steak pomme frites. The duck was just as we remembered it, tasty and a slightly generous portion. The... More

Given the good reviews and my friend's great experience on her last visit, we were looking forward to a delightful dinner at Kiki's. The restaurant's visual appearance is a melange of classy/casual with a charming crowd of mostly baby boomers. At the table, we were greeted with a basket of bread. The bread was not warm, not soft, most likely... More

I remember many years ago when I went to Kiki's for the first time…liver is still the best I have ever had. Staff is a little cranky..but that's ok..kind of adds to the charm!

We’ve been to KiKi’s several times and always walked away satisfied. The food and service are excellent. We are always treated with cordiality and respect. The restaurant is a little off the beaten path by a few blocks but worth finding. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. This is a place you can depend on!

We had a great pre-theater dinner at Kiki's Bistro. We arrived a little before the restaurant opened and were greeted by Kiki himself. He is a warm wonderful host. We sat at the bar and he chatted with us until 5:00 when the restaurant officially opened. The $29.50 three course early bird dinner is a great value. We each had... More

The atmosphere is so cozy and friendly, we can always get a table but it's always full, the menu is casual, country french, very accessible comfort food and reasonably priced. Skip the overpriced, over decorated restaurants in Chicago and enjoy a place with real atmosphere.
