If you enjoy shouting to be heard to your dining companions. I have honestly got to say I have never been a louder restaurant in my life and I've been to a lot of restaurants. So, on the positive side, our server was very professional; offered extensive explanations of wines, dishes and even assisted me with my Spanish pronunciation. We... More

We visited Cafe Iberico with our teenage daughter and had an excellent meal in a very nice atmosphere with great service. The sangria was superb and so was the selection of Spanish wines by the glass. We ordered a variety of tapas which were all very good. For the main course, we had tenderloin, scallops and leg of lamb and... More

It is clear that this is a Spanish restaurant that someone recently arrived to Chicago from Spain will not Enjoy, I will never say to a local that this is a tipical restaurant like in Spain. First of all the atmosphere is not a real Spanish one, not even the national colors (flag) or Spanish Music or Spanish Television in... More

I have been here twice when traveling though Chicago, and had great meals both times! The paella is delicious and big enough to share with another person. Both sangria and coffee are also very good. Save room for dessert and try the ice cream filled crepe! These too are big enough to share, and a great way to end your... More

We went for dinner at 7:30 pm on a Sunday night and had a short wait for a table. The food was excellent - we ordered paella, garlic prawns (shrimp), scallops and beef skewer to have with a bottle of Rioja which was also very good. There were three of us and the bill came to $60 (excluding tax and... More

This restaurant is located on Lasalle, by Chicago St. and easily walkable from Magnificent Mile IF you haven't worn yourself out. A little primitive but fabulous selection and prices! Can't beat it... everyone we know here in East Lansing, Michigan loves dining there while in Chicago. We've ordered daily specials like quail paello, grilled chicken with little potato pancakes, too... More

I came here with 3 friends more than one week ago, a Friday around 5:30 pm. Atmosphere is extremely friendly and very nice. At that time there were not many people, which was great to be seated right away and we were able to carry on conversations in a comfortable setting. The red- and white-wine sangrías were both very good... More

Went for dinner on a Friday night around 6:30 and was pleasantly surprised to have no wait. Went with a group of 5 and were seated right away in the main dining room. We ordered a variety of tapas for the table (aceitunas, solomillo, calamari, pulpa a la plancha, chorizo... and something else) - all very good. The calamari was... More

On our recent visit to Chicago we had the opportunity to visit Café Iberico. It was highly recommended by some friends. The restaurant is accessible via the brown and red subway line, just three to four blocks from either. The dinning room is big and even though it was packed it did not feel as crowded. The food is affordable,... More
