In Chi town for business I was craving some tapas, based on many recommendations from the locals I decided to give Iberico a whirl. Ugg.... I walked into the restaurant and the hostess was very friendly but seemed really confused as to why I wanted to sit at the bar, I love sitting at the bar, especially if I am... More

Having recently spent 6 weeks in Spain, we were pleasantly surprised that Cafe Iberico had the atmosphere and flavor and delicious reasonably priced food we found in Spain. The special Gambas(shrimp) dish in butter was a real standout, the chocolate flan in strawberry sauce was a great way to finish a great meal.

First of all, I am from Spain. Second, I really enjoy tapas style restaurants. Third, I am not a snob, I can understand that sometimes exotic cuisines have to adapt to local tastes (as many of the Spanish style tapas bars in Chicago). Said this, this place wouldn't last for a month in Spain. Well, maybe in really touristic areas,... More

We came to Cafe Iberico at 7 pm on a Wednesday night for dinner with our 4 year old and my parents. We were immediately sent to the back corner of the restaurant behind the bussing station. I asked to be seated in the main dining area since there was many tables available but was told by the manager that... More

We come here every time we are in Chicago. On the first visit, we had our usual plancha de pulpo, mixed salad, potato aioli and sangria. On the second time, we tried the lamb and the sardines, which were special that week among others. We invited my brother and his wife to join us. The third time, we invited another... More

I recently visited Ibercio with some friends. I like the variety of different options and sharing size portions. Sangria was good and service was quick; friendly staff and good value for the money!

On a recent food safari to Chicago, I had Iberico recommended. Loved the atmosphere and a chance to speak Castilian. The paella takes 45 minutes so I ordered that before we were even seated. Several of the tapas were equal to the best I've had. My companions loved excellent sangria and my wine matched the food. Very reasonable priced and... More

Huge place, and totally full - not surprisingly: great tapas at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

We have been here a ton of times over the years, and it is always good, everyone is helpful and friendly, and everything is super reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food you get. As a bonus, they have both red and white sangria (both very tasty) and available by the glass, half pitcher, and whole pitcher (and yes,... More

Our friend wanted us to check out her favorite tapas place for dinner. Café Iberico is a large restaurant that had a fun atmosphere with diners ranging from two to a party of 16. Several birthday celebrations this evening. Our waiter answered some of our questions before we decided to just go for some cold, red sangria. So refreshing. We... More
