Authentic...casual...A must!

A must try, authentic, casual, and friendly Spanish Tapas and Sangria joint. Sit at the bar...Don't miss the Seafood Paella with a twist of lemon juice, mushroom, octopus, potato tapas. Get ready for a twist of garlic all over :)

If you are looking for a fun environment and a Spanish setting, this place is for you. Food is very reasonably priced. Although, 3/5 because I don't think the food tastes that amazing. Maybe you'll feel differently. I would go back, but nothing to rave about.

I heard a bout this place and read the reviews and thought i cant go wrong but i was quite wrong. The food is simply mediocre. We tried multiple tapas and appetizers and everything was either dry or flavorless or just not special. Even the sangria was not as rich and flavorful as typical sangria. Maybe the chef had an... We ordered an octopus tapa which was cooked perfectly. The sausage tapa was great cause it gave a variety including blood sausage which was superb. The mussels and fritters were good as well, nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly.

My husband choice of restaurant for our last meal in Chicago. The tapas bar look quite impressive, reminded me of our Barcelona trip. We had ordered the seafood (cold) tapas and 2 hot tapas (seafood and chickpeas over tomatoes sauce and goat stew). It was so much foods for two people. We had to take away goat stew.

My Dad is from Madrid and I have been to Spain many times, so trust me when I tell you the food is the same as if you were there. The dishes are great, and there are a wide variety of hot or cold tapas (small plates) to choose from. When you go to a tapas restaurant, part of the... More

Our party of 5 went here for dinner on a Friday evening and thoroughly enjoyed sharing 6-8 small tapas from their extensive menu list. Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered sangria by the pitcher but they also have a pretty good wine selection - you have to see how they decorated the ceiling spaces with empty wine bottles. The... More

The best place for authentic Spanish food. The tapas are amazing and the sangria is delicious. Cafe Iberico is one of the best in the city of Chicago. The place is huge with bars in two levels. The service is quick and friendly. The place attracts all kinds of people. Defiantly a place to go on a date, business, or... More

My friends from Chicago were raving about this place but, as it's usually the case with Spanish restaurants outside of Spain, it was just okay. Some dishes were quite good, some were not so good, most were average, but as a Spaniard I didn't find the authenticity I was looking for. It's also not particularly cheap, so I don't think... More

I went with a group to Cafe Iberico for Sunday brunch. Everyone ordered the dish that appealed to them and then we shared everything. Every bite was delicious. We ate so much we shared a single dessert.
