Would visit again

We visit Chicago a lot but never visited NoMI before this Holiday Tree lighting festival. Really great food and service and best of all amazing view of the water tower and MI avenue.

This restaurant is gem. I had special out of town guests I wanted to entertain and impress. And Nomi did just that. We were seated at a window table overlooking the fabulous Water Tower landmark and from then things went oh so well. The service, the food, and the ambiance, all added up to a delightful evening.

My wife and I went to NoMI during a short trip to Chicago. We had heard about NoMI when watching a travel show that reviewed the best things to see and do in Chicago, so we made sure to book it in advance. The restaurant is on the 7th floor of the hotel, and if you're fortunate, you can get... More

We ordered the egg scramble with cheddar and bacon. So good. Wish we were staying more than one night as I would have tried the brioche french toast! Only complaint - the decaf coffee blend they use was not very good.

This is light gourmet food with a killer view, people! Deeeelicious food of which I don't even know what it is but their combinations are always tremendous. Get soup, get appetizer, meal and do NOT forget dessert. Yeow! My hubby and I hit NoMi almost every time we are in Chi-town. Enjoy!

The breakfasts were excellent, but the lunch and dinner were tops. We eat a lot of sushi at fine Japanese restaurants. The sushi was fresh good choices bar area seats are very uncomfortable but dining room was great. Lunch had some Japaneses as well as other choices all very fresh and well presented and the view is wonderful.

Was here for a few drinks with a longstanding friend. Part of the Park Hyatt on Chicago avenue, the bar is well stocked, the service is good and the ambience is great. The view from the deck is fantastic. Pricey, but then, you pay for some quality time.

fantastic sushi, although the sashimi portion is too large for one person. 3 pieces of tuna, Hamachi, scallops, salmon, and roe. Large pieces of each - best as shared dish. Very well presented, good service

The roof deck on an autumnal Saturday afternoon is an elevated haven far above the hubbub of North Michigan Ave. Great spot for sophisticated cocktails and expensive nibbles while debriefing the afternoon's retail experience.

Located in the Park Hyatt on Michigan Avenue, NoMI has a nice trendy atmosphere and great views of Michigan avenue. The rooftop deck is great (but only open in warmer months). I have not had dinner here, just desserts (which were very good).

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
