So many non chain options in Chicago.... No need to eat here. Food is fine but there are better places to go. Overpriced kids menu items. I do like some of their low calorie options.

...it's impossible to skip this one! Cocktails AMAZING - food is fantastic and the whimsical decor of this restaurant has made it one of my all-time favorites. Check out the bathrooms, you've never seen anything like it. You will undoubtedly have a bit of a wait for a table, but dining here is well worth the wait!

We had a wonderful lunch. My daughter ordered the chicken salad sandwich with fries and her plate had the equivalent of two full sandwiches and a small bucket of fries. My niece had the pizza salad combo and both were the size of a dinner plate. I had a huge plate of wonderful calamari. Our desserts were the largest i... More

We went to this restaurant at around 10:00 at night, to be fair, and optioned to sit at the bar to get a quick bite. Well the bartender ignored us for the first 20 minutes, we had to ask a backwaiter to take our order, and it still took another 5 minutes to get our order placed. And the bar... More

If you need a quick bite on MI Ave the Cheesecake Factory is not a bad option. The inside is pretty ugly though. Service is cheerful and prompt. The food is pretty good too. Very popular with visitors.

The decor is quite unusual but this is a typical big restaurant. As usual in the Cheesecake Factory portions are massive. If you are there before 5 have the lunchtime portion. That means you'll have room for a dessert.

On my visit to Chicago, my group and I ate at the Cheesecake Factory almost every day! Although I am not a huge cheesecake fan, but they have other desserts and other foods! It was clean and good quality food, but prices could've been somewhat lower. It was also really crowded but it wasn't too terribly loud. The food was... More

This is a chain restaurant, and I try to avoid those most of the time just because I prefer to go places that are local that I can't visit at home. This is an exception though. The food is always good here and the portions are huge! When the wait is really long though, I don't know if it's worth... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
