Good steaks from an established name.

Steaks are good, but the lobster bisque was not up to my expectations. Better to stick to their steaks.

Made reservations when visiting this area. It was great. Walking distance from my hotel. I love the location. It is down in the bottom of the building. Which makes the atmosphere a good one. It can be romantic and for business all in one. I enjoyed my meal I got the Filet cooked medium and side of au gratin potatoes.... More

It puts a dent in your wallet, but you knew that before you came in. Service = impeccable. Food = outstanding. A meal you won't forget for a while. My suggestion - don't splurge too heavily on the meat; it's all great. The sides are truly top-tier though. Get a few!

My husband and I were in Chicago for a few days and decided to have a nice dinner out on the town. We wanted something comfortable and quiet so we went to Morton's. Our dinner was excellent and the service perfect. We'd definitely visit again.

I really like a good steakhouse and there are many good ones out there. For my my money, Morton's is one of the best. Our waiter could not have been more knowledgeable about the menu or helpful in choosing our meals. Simply outstanding service. We had five for dinner with each person ordering a different main entree. As instructed by... More

I could live off of the sides at steakhouses and be happy - I don't eat steak, but every side I/we tried was delicious. I highly recommend the mac and cheese. Everything is big enough to share, too. We made a last minute reservation when our graduate decided he wanted to go out to eat before hitting the town the... More

A little claustrophobic...downstairs without very high ceilings. Shrimps in shrimp cocktail were large. Good size and very tasty Caesar salad. Filet mignon was good but the best part of the meal was the Cajun ribeye was absolutely awesome!!! Made us wish we had foregone appetizers so we could have finished the steak. A little overpriced but alright for a special... More

Morton's Steakhouse is my favorite steakhouse in the USA and I have visitem many of their restaurants during the years. This was my first time in this one and it stood up to it's high standards. I took the bone in prime rib which was outstanding! Made to perfection mid/rare. Atmosphere and service perfect too. A must!

friendly pricey place, a wine list that would take a year to explore, huge tasty steaks. Just what you expect.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
