The real McCoy!

I was raised in an Italian home, so "real" Italian food is the only Italian food I know. It's location is not so great, and La Scarola is not going to win any style points for its exterior, but who cares? I'm there for the food, not to write a review for Architectural Digest! Walking into La... read more

Took my entire family of seven for a night out and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Seafood, pasta, veal to name a few of our dishes, with all people very satisfied with the servcie and delicious food. We will be back! Big fan of this restaurant. Character galore! A bit loud, but feels like family dinner.

What a great place. Thanks to fellow TA writers we went for dinner and were really happy we did. This is no fancy place. It' crowded, lively, and has a great vibe. The food, service, atmosphere, and even value, added up to a great dinner. Can't wait to go back

Went this past Sunday evening based on tripadvisor reviews and we were absolutely delighted with our meal. Appetizer was sausage and peppers and they were terrific....my wife is Italian and she said just like mama used to make....you know...those grilled peppers with a bit of charring....and delicious sausage. My wife had the Peto di Pollo which she really enjoyed...and I... More

I've been several times and have always found the food and service to be great. Fun atmosphere with pictures covering the walls. Always busy, always good!

This place is great. No high-end frills but just great, hot food. The owners know this business and they are very Omnipresent. I have been going there for 18 years, had parties there... They know that they are doing and make amazing soups. The Pasta Fagiole is amazing. Highly recommended!

The food was not bad but with so many great Italain places I was a little disappointed. the portions are friggin gianormas and it's not bad if you are in the area. The bar next door makes a wicked drink!

You can not just stick an Italian flag and call it an Italian Restaurant...... La Scarola is a deformation of an Italian restaurant and it is in between Mexican mass and fake Italian dinner .The food was not good enough the service was too casual but the bill was wild. The simple rigatoni were over cooked and the chicken was... More

You should definitely make reservations for this place. It gets really crowded and the tables are tight. I really wanted to love this place after reading all the great reviews. It wasn't bad but it wasn't mind blowing either. It seems they make everyone wait by the bar even with reservations. It's really smoky in that room so being seated... More

As other TA reviews mentioned, the atmosphere and ambiance is not why you go here. You go for the food. The portions are large enough to share and prices reasonable. Once seated, the food comes out at lightning speed so plan accordingly. We had the fried artichokes and they were good but not great. We were expecting full artichoke(s) not... More
