Good Food in Greek Town!

Pretty good eats here, although I'll disclose that I'm not a huge fan of Greek food (I didn't choose the restaurant). Forgive me, as this review is a few days late, I've forgotten the Greek words for many of the dishes. We started with saganaki (amazing!!) and calamari (good calamari with... read more

I have been here twice so far and have to say have never been impressed. The food is only average and the service leaves a lot to be desired. The best thing about this place was the free valet parking!

My wife is the Greek expert but I like it too and she could not quit talking about this place. it has the kind of old world charm you would like, a complete menu and it quite authentic even when you order something more Americanized. we loved it, the staff, the food. if you haven't tried Greek go there and... Absolutely fabulous server and food! Enjoyed every dish and would definitely go back! I did not pick up the tab so cannot comment on value but whatever it cost, it was enjoyed!

This place was hopping for a Sunday evening. The food is authentic Greek and was deliciously paired with a glass of Monemvassios red wine which was like drinking a glass of nectar from the gods. Next visit to Chicago will definitely result in a return to this culinary delight!

My husband and I walked around Greek Town for a bit and decided to try out this restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. When you go order the flaming cheese – what an experience! You almost feel like you are in Greece! (almost ) We will definitely be going back to this restaurant.

Have been to many of the restaurants in Greektown over the last couple trips, and have to say that Greek Islands is the top now that Costas is gone. Four of us shared some small plates and salads and EVERYTHING was excellent. Usually something falls flat, but not here. And with two having gluten issues, it was nice to have... More

We were on a visit from the West Coast, and the restaurant was recommended by a Greek woman we met. We were not disappointed. The lamb was fantastic. Very friendly service. Try it!

We've been going here since I was a kid. Now it's with my kids and grandoffspring. We always get the family dinner. The service is always great. The food is always great. We don't go there looking for new, we don't want different. For that, there are many other choices in Chicago. It's family friendly, but there are quiet nooks... More

I had lamb in tomato sauce, rice and potatoes. I also had a Greek salad and flaming cheese. I thought everything was great and would eat here again. I don't know how they get the flavor in those potatoes, but it's so good! My uncle had the meat pie as didn't enjoy it much. My brother had the salmon and... More
