I've been coming to this and their former Jackson Blvd. location on and off for the last 35+ years. Some times are better than others. This time I lunched with a former work colleague and it was a good experience. We split an order of saganaki and then I had the stuffed lamb loin while he had the gyros appetizer... More

Although the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, we were able to snag a seat at the bar and even got a table within 30 minutes. I had their filleted sea bass. It was light with wonderful seasoning. My husband raved about the lamb shank and our friend loved the chicken shish-kebob, which was moist and tasty. The only... More

The moment you walk in you feel the lively energy of the Greek menu. The prices are reasonable and the food delicious. We enjoyed our food and the charbroiled octopus was surprisingly good! Nicholas was our outgoing efficient water and guided us to our great choices. You will not be disappointed with your visit!

A friend who has lived and dined in Chicago for 30 years at the best places, this in one of his top 10 places. Wow! What an excellent experience. We ordered a wide variety of items and passed them around. I loved the octopus, chicken was perfect, Texas salad and the deserts we sampled were fantastic. What an experience !!

What more is there to say? It's excellent, authentic food, served in a lively environment. The restaurant is huge- so even if it's crowded, lines move fast. Saganaki , fried zucchini, gyros, lamb, fish, drinks, dessert-- and great bread. The place is a party every night. Enjoy. Prices are also very reasonable.

I have been to the Greek Islands many times and have loved it every time. My friend and I were there for lunch and had the best chicken and lamb dishes. You can't go wrong with the quality of the food and it is great place to bring your family and friends. The soup, potatoes and dessert were wonderful too.... More

I have been here a lot and never disappointed. Reliably good Greek food in Chicago's Greektown. We had a reservation at a "fancy" restaurant after a show, and the show went late, restaurant wouldn't honor our reservation so we ran over to Greek Islands and had a fantastic meal, lots of wine and just a great time. This place will... More

The Crowne Plaza in Greek Town is maybe 3 blocks from the Islands, Santorini, Pegasus, and 20+ other Hellenic eateries. Long day on airplanes. Lost bags. Could eat a Minotaur. Had the kefte instead, after salad and dolmades. Ate at bAr. No crowd at 8 on Thu night. Fortunately no Minotaur either.

Was invited to dinner with a group of colleagues at a recent conference. The food was fantastic! Great ambiance, wine and drinks. It's a very relaxing place and a good place to decompress. Ordered appetizers and dinner family style. Tons of food! It is also quite reasonable on price. Looking forward to going back when I am in Chicago again.
