We were in the mood to explore a real neighborhood, and a friend had recommended the Parthenon, in Greektown. The portions were very large, and some of the dishes were first-rate, especially the spanakopita appetizer. The service was friendly and prompt. And Greektown (just west of downtown Chicago) is a great starting place for a walk north through some lovely... More

We are long time residents of Chicago who dine out regularly - I personally, have not had a worse meal at a restaurant - ever. We took our 11 year old daughter who is working on a school project relating to Greece, with the hopes to inspire her a bit with the cuisine. To start with, the place was empty... More

I liked that the menu was unique and there were dishes that were more traditional. Only downside for us was misreading the wine menu and assuming a bottle of chardonnay was less than it actually was. Great place for a group!

I highly suggest reservations for this busy restaurant. My two daughters and I were doing a girls' weekend in Chicago. We were staying in Greektown so this was an easy stroll for us. Food is excellent. We were made to feel very special. Our waiter was extra attentive.

This restaurant has been here forever. Years ago it was considered the best Greek restaurant in Greektown. They have remodeled and the place is beautiful and even romantic. We went on a Groupon but were able to pick all from the menu. Of the 6-7 different dishes we had none were special, all OK, just not as good as many... More

Right in the middle of Greek town and easily accessed via the Blue Line (go to the Monroe stop and walk north from there.) Very good food, Greek owners and servers, it's as authentic as it gets. I had the vegetarian combination and was not disappointed at all. You should also try the flaming cheese - delicious and fun. Have... More

This restaurant is located in the Greek town section of Chicago west of the downtown. It did not disappoint for what we expected. We shared a bottle of white wine and some flaming cheese (they are known for this and claim to have invented it. It was tasty. I ordered a cup of vegetarian lentil soup which was very good... More

i attended a full-day seminar with a group of about 60 in the private party room. Not recommended for this type of event. The tables were narrow and hard to accommodate note-taking materials + water pitchers + stacks of coffee cups. They set the table for lunch (at the same tables) during our meeting, which is loud no matter how... More

I returned to the Parthenon a couple of weeks ago for dinner with friends. It had been about two years since we were last in Chicago and the Parthenon is typically on our list for dining. Per usual, dinner was fantastic, prices reasonable, wait staff professional and efficient and atmosphere comfortable and friendly. We began with a bottle of Greek... More
