My husband and I have made the pilgrimage from Milwaukee to the Parthenon for years now. While we enjoy Greek Town in general, we always find ourselves going back to the Parthenon. The food is tasty and unpretentious, the Roditis is crisp, tart, and goes with everything, and the service is friendly and quick but not rushed. It's one of... More

We ate here with a group and had to pick from 3 different entrees. The lasagna was terrible. The flaming cheese was good. Had entertainment for us but we were expecting something Greek as it is a Greek restaurant but there was only one middle aged couple who danced and told old jokes. Everybody was glad when we could leave.... More

Just across the river in Greektown, this is another local favorite. You can't miss with anything on the menu but don't skip the sganaki (cheese set on fire at the table) oooopah!

I found a Groupon for this place, so my husband and I decided to try this place for out. Parking in Chicago is awful, but they offer free valet parking. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. We had never been there before, so we had a few questions. The waiter was very nice and we weren't treated any differently... More

The Parthenon restaurant has been in business for 47 years, and there is a reason for that - it's good food served in a festive atmosphere. I took my Dad and my 8-year old son to eat there on a Wednesday night. I'm glad we made a reservation because by 6pm, the place was filling up. The valet parking is... More

When at this restaurant it feels as if you just walked into the home of someone in Greece. It is inviting, warm family friendly restaurant. As for the food, it is good not the best we ever had, but good. They like to put on a bit of a show with so many dishes that are served table side flaming.... More

When in Chicago, we always want food that is unavailable at home. We asked the concierge who said that she was Greek and her family loved to go to the Parthenon. At first, the name suggested a bit "cheesiest", but we went and were thrilled. When you arrive, the hostess reminds you of the mother in "My Big Fat Greek... More

The service was wonderful, we were greeted very warmly by the hostess. The food was not exceptional but quite good. Loved the lighting of the cheese, that was the highlight of our evening. All in all this was a very pleasant evening.

Visited with a Groupon, as did everyone who dined that evening. Each table seated came because of a Groupon. Service was good and portions were plentiful. However, food not great. They offered a lamb rib appetizer on the special of the day menu and we were able to order this as our Groupon hot appetizer. Big mistake. It was a... More
