The Greek Feast is two meals and more.

The best value at The Parthenon is of course the Greek Feast. Saganaki(flaming cheese dish), gyros, salad, lamb, push tons of other Greek dishes or so it seems are available for $21.45 per person to pig out on. Dessert and coffee are also included. Add a carafe of wine for $10 or $11 to complete... read more

We visited the Parthenon Restaurant in Chicago, IL, yesterday and were extremely impressed with the food, the service, and the ambiance! The greek salad was wonderful and the saganaki (flaming cheese) was out of this world! We were part of a tour group of 52 and the service was outstanding! The wait staff was attentive and went out of their... More

Once upon a time I lived 5 years in Athens Greece.. I do cook it however specializing ingredients cost $$ so its a treat to go to a known establishment with fine service and superior foods. This is a place we go back to time and time again. The Wait Staff is superb ,they know their craft and how to... More

We spent an evening with family. The atmosphere was very good. The access is very good. The food is very good (very close to greek food tastes)- not excellent, but I was not satisfied with the service. The waiter was not friendly and the dinner was served about more than half an hour after we ordered. It was busy, but... More

I used to eat at this restaurant with my family when we visited Chicago when I was a kid. I took my son to eat here recently and my memories of this place were correct. It's excellent. My son and I had the family dinner for two number one. The food was delicious and plentiful. I would say we only... More

If you've never heard of flaming cheese here is an introduction to it. You order Saganaki and out comes a platter of two thick slices of cheese and the waiter pours some Brandy out of a bottle and sets it on fire emitting a column of flame that reaches the ceiling!!! The dish is of course delicious for an appetizer... More

This has been my one and only Greektown restaurant since 1971!! I have not been to Chicago in several years and the Parthenon was at the top of my list. First of all, the bread tasted stale. The Greek salad was tasteless. The egg lemon soup was so-so. The desserts were soggy, lacking honey drizzle. We ordered the complete dinner... More

I am originally from Chicago and for years the Parthenon was my go to Greek Restaurant. Recently, I was in Chicago and went here with 12 friends. I still love it! I ordered fish roe, which is one of my favorites and it was as good as I remember. Everyone enjoyed there food and the ambiance was wonderful. If you... More

Superior service, always. Delicious Greek food, beyond compare. Homey, welcoming, family oriented venue. Certainly you could have a quick meal if short on time but I would recommend to sit back, relax, let your waiter take care of you...and enjoy. For vegetarians, they have the absolute best vegetarian moussaka I have ever had.

After a couple of years away, we dropped in for a simple evening meal. We enjoyed it half-sized plate and an entree of gyros. The gyros was really good, and we appreciated the new decor, much brighter than the previous decor.
