You will never want a sandwich made with bread again.

Jibarito is a Puerto Rican/Chicagoan speciality that's a sandwich toasted between 2 slices of plantain for wicked amazingness. Other places in Chicago do Jibaritos, but this is the best. BYOB.

So we had a craving for a Saturday evening dinner. We stopped at this restaurant. First, the place is way too crowded. Servers will run you over if you don't move. The cashier is very unfriendly. No customer service/people skills. I ordered the pollochon sandwich and after 20 minutes waiting it finally came. Dry and falling apart. My wife ordered... More

Went with some friends to this restaurant for lunch during the week. My first time trying Puerto Rican food. There is little seating, so if you have a large group, it might be better to order take-out. They do take-out as well. Parking is metered, but there is free parking on the side streets. I had the vegetarian plate, which... More

Its a B.Y.O.B. venue a little smaller in winter months due to lack of patio, but as far as a good meal for a very thrifty cost you will love it here.

The smell is great, they have nice outdoor dining in the warm weather (will that ever return?). The food is tasty and very reasonably priced. Not a big spot, but cozy.

This restaurant serves great Puerto Rican food. The staff is friendly and the restaurant's atmosphere is cozy. My favorite dish is the chicken, yellow rice, and the tostones. I will definitely go back!

Jibaritos and garlicky tostones = love. Also, it pays to eat meat, because it goes great with every meal!

I love this place! (is it still there?) Best tostones I've ever had.
