Nailed it!

We travel very frequently for the purpose of eating. Longman nailed it. They are true to their offerings, service, atmosphere, and very focused on the food. The food was I inventive but with confined precision. Don't be afraid to explore the menu you can't go wrong. A model restaurant when... read more

I went there with my girlfriend for dinner. We took 2 cocktails while waiting for a table. Cocktails were both to strong to let any other flavor than alcohol come through. Staff was friendly. We shared a beef tartar which was good but nothing really great. Then we had the cauliflower and the seared rib eye. Again, both good but... More

We went for dinner on a Saturday night while visiting Chicago for Memorial Day weekend. We started with cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. Amazing selection of craft beers and cocktails. We were lucky to be seated within twenty minutes of arriving at 6pm. We were three people and our server recommended we get three small... More

Michelin - star chef Jared Wentworth colls the place a " whisky bar " , with more than 200 spirits, but the real reason to go is the gutsy Chicago - stile food served up with sophisticated suvagger in a rollicking atmosphere. You should anso try the whisky flights- a trio of three - quarter - ounce tastes of some... More

Lucky us, we hit this place on a day the food inspector decided to drop by for a surprise visit (end sarcasm). Not the restaurant's fault and they were nice about it during our entire 1?2? hour wait. It was a really windy day out anyway, so it was not so bad waiting inside. Had it been nice out though,... More

I love you, Sunday Brunch at Longman. Because you're boozy and you have swagger. And your staff is knowledgeable and lovely. Erin introduced me to the salmon Benedict, which I dream of still. Anne makes perfect pairing suggestions whether I am in the mood for beer or whiskey. I don't like quiche. Normally. Here, it is a confident blast of... More

This one star Michelin restaurant offers an incredible Beef Tartare - $18 - highly recommended. The drink menu is extensive to complete the experience. Outdoor seating is available.

For a one star Michelin restaurant, Longman and Eagle is extremely reasonably priced! No reservations so we waited 45 minutes for a table for two, which was fantastic considering it was for Easter brunch. There were some great cafes in the area to kill time. We had a fabulous Sunday brunch - some of the best chicken and waffles my... More

Loved the PBR breakfast, it's a relly fun idea, and all of the elements were quite delicious. Make sure to get a site of toast, it was honestly the best I've ever had. Couldn't miss the opportunity to sample their extensive whiskey list and appreciate that we didn't get any judgement from our waitress in doing so in the AM.
