Fabulous

Great service. Spectacular food. Happy people. Order the Sazerac. An iconic NewcOrleans cocktail. It is very casual and very well priced.

I stopped by Longman & Eagle around 5:30 on a Friday night and found a spot at the bar. I was intrigued by the Michelin star, but the no reservation policy frustrated me, so a solo trip seemed like a good option. I am very glad I decided to visit. The pig's face with pickled pineapple was excellent and the... More

My son lives in Palmer square and always takes us to great neighborhood places. Longman & Eagle was his choice. There is a very cool vibe there with superior staff. The waiter made us feel welcome since it was our first visit (not my sons). He explained the menu and the drink selections. We had appetizers and entrees. Everything was... More

Everything i've tried on the menu was fantastic (thats my fourth time there). Burrata and lamb tartare are outstanding. The atmosphere is very cozy. Very eclectic costumers. Drinks are very good and so is the variety of whiskies. The neighborhood is a bit far from downtown but worth the trip... Very authentic and trendy. Suggestion: stop at the scofflaw for... More

We travel very frequently for the purpose of eating. Longman nailed it. They are true to their offerings, service, atmosphere, and very focused on the food. The food was I inventive but with confined precision. Don't be afraid to explore the menu you can't go wrong. A model restaurant when talking about all aspects of operations.

I went there with my girlfriend for dinner. We took 2 cocktails while waiting for a table. Cocktails were both to strong to let any other flavor than alcohol come through. Staff was friendly. We shared a beef tartar which was good but nothing really great. Then we had the cauliflower and the seared rib eye. Again, both good but... More

We went for dinner on a Saturday night while visiting Chicago for Memorial Day weekend. We started with cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. Amazing selection of craft beers and cocktails. We were lucky to be seated within twenty minutes of arriving at 6pm. We were three people and our server recommended we get three small... More

Michelin - star chef Jared Wentworth colls the place a " whisky bar " , with more than 200 spirits, but the real reason to go is the gutsy Chicago - stile food served up with sophisticated suvagger in a rollicking atmosphere. You should anso try the whisky flights- a trio of three - quarter - ounce tastes of some... More

Lucky us, we hit this place on a day the food inspector decided to drop by for a surprise visit (end sarcasm). Not the restaurant's fault and they were nice about it during our entire 1?2? hour wait. It was a really windy day out anyway, so it was not so bad waiting inside. Had it been nice out though,... More
