We stopped by looking for a table. Minimum hour long wait. We agreed and walked down the block for drinks while we waited. They sent us a text, and we headed back. Convenient service. Once seated, we were near the restrooms and kitchen. No issue. Food: we ordered 8 small plates and two entrees for three people. We ate it... More

Service and food is over rated. Not to mention after spending $300 on dinner, they wouldn't let us use the bathroom during their own block party, stating there are port a potties outside. Then host gets defensive quoting "that's why I said go ahead!" Never again.

I went there with a friend in early July and we have a delightful experience. We had the opportunity to dine in the small area outside, which is rather nice. We shared our starters, the burrata salad, which was pure heaven and another salad which was based on melon. Its not only that the different ingredients work very well together,... More

We stayed in the L&E lodge for 4 nights and decided to have dinner at the 1-Michelin-star restaurant downstairs in the last night (specially after witnessing the restaurant getting busy every single night - even Monday and even raining). It was the perfect ending to our Chicago stay! Service was friendly and attentive without being patronizing, explained all dishes and... More

I've had dinner here and it was excellent, but now I just visited for brunch and was blown away! How can you beat a Michelin Star meal for like $15? This place is great for drinks, great for foodies, a great place to bring dates, or a great place to go with a group of friends. I recommend the roasted... More

I thought this place was just a regular bar but they also serve food so was even better. Is was very nice to come to this place nice hipster atmosphere... More

This place really knows food!!! No wonder it is michelin rated year after year. I have only eaten brunch there 3 times, and each time i'm lost for words. When you get there, it looks like a gastropub, but has so much to offer. The French Toast, the sloppy Joes, the eggs with duck confit, the fried chicken, and everything... More

My husband and I ate brunch at Longman and Eagle around 11 a.m. after a training run on the Lakefront trail. It was quite busy, but since we were guests at the inn the preceding evening, they allowed us to make a reservation (reservations are only taken for guests of the inn). We started with coffee (iced for me and... More

The music is quite loud and make it hard to listen to your partner and the waiters. Light is also very low. The menu is quite expensive. On the other hand the staff is friendly, they have good beers, and everything that comes from the kitchen is definitely and absolutely exquisite, no matter if entrées, main courses or deserts. My... We had a very different but excellent brunch at Longman & Eagle. My friend had the wild boar sloppy joes, and it was excellent. The accompanying fries were among the best I've ever tasted, although they were a bit too salty. I had the the whole hog, which was pulled pork that had been braised in maple syrup, served over...
