So I just titled my review, "foodie fun & whiskey" and then my husband preceded to make fun of my use of foodie and hipster. "What do you mean by that anyway?"... [crickets Chirping]... All of that too say, we read some reviews and headed out early. We feared waiting for hours, but were able to be seated in 15... More

This place was fantastic. I had the daily special and it was a pulled pork and maple aioli served over the creamiest white polenta I've ever had. Topped with an over-easy egg and I was loving every savory bite. Washed it down with a Bloody Mary and it was one of my favorite meals in Chicago.

Had breakfast there one day, The PBR breakfast came with a cold can of PBR! The bacon and sausage was outstanding, tasted like it was hand cured. Tasted my friends meals, they were just as good.

My first visit, and based on the recommendation from my daughter. This is a fun, low key place with a funky vibe. Don't let that fool you. The servers are trained well, the service is great and the food is extremely creative. Although I am a strict plant-based eater, the menu is interesting and the chef accommodated me very well... We stopped by looking for a table. Minimum hour long wait. We agreed and walked down the block for drinks while we waited. They sent us a text, and we headed back. Convenient service. Once seated, we were near the restrooms and kitchen. No issue. Food: we ordered 8 small plates and two entrees for three people. We ate it... More

Service and food is over rated. Not to mention after spending $300 on dinner, they wouldn't let us use the bathroom during their own block party, stating there are port a potties outside. Then host gets defensive quoting "that's why I said go ahead!" Never again.

I went there with a friend in early July and we have a delightful experience. We had the opportunity to dine in the small area outside, which is rather nice. We shared our starters, the burrata salad, which was pure heaven and another salad which was based on melon. Its not only that the different ingredients work very well together,... More

We stayed in the L&E lodge for 4 nights and decided to have dinner at the 1-Michelin-star restaurant downstairs in the last night (specially after witnessing the restaurant getting busy every single night - even Monday and even raining). It was the perfect ending to our Chicago stay! Service was friendly and attentive without being patronizing, explained all dishes and... More

I've had dinner here and it was excellent, but now I just visited for brunch and was blown away! How can you beat a Michelin Star meal for like $15? This place is great for drinks, great for foodies, a great place to bring dates, or a great place to go with a group of friends. I recommend the roasted... More
