Worth the wait!

For a one star Michelin restaurant, Longman and Eagle is extremely reasonably priced! No reservations so we waited 45 minutes for a table for two, which was fantastic considering it was for Easter brunch. There were some great cafes in the area to kill time. Loved the PBR breakfast, it's a relly fun idea, and all of the elements were quite delicious. Make sure to get a site of toast, it was honestly the best I've ever had. Couldn't miss the opportunity to sample their extensive whiskey list and appreciate that we didn't get any judgement from our waitress in doing so in the AM.

PBR Breakfast was good, I actually had Pabst Blue Ribbon beer at 10:00am!. Had a citrus salad at lunch, very small, disappointed in that. Staff were terrific though.

This was our second lunch at Longman & Eagle. Both visits were thoroughly enjoyed. This is a very casual bar with better than average food and an excellent bourbon selection. the duck hash was superb. The service was excellent and friendly. Wait-staff had very good knowledge of menu selections and were able to make appropriate suggestions. The bourbon/Scotch list is... More

The menu, presentation, food and service were excellent! We also enjoyed our craft cocktails and wine selections. You need to arrive early unless you don't mind waiting for a table. Our waiter was most helpful in menu as well as cocktail/wine selections. Now that said, if you're a senior like me I might suggest bringing a magnifying glass and some... More

Great presentation, amazing combinations of ingredients. Highly recommended, a shot of whiskey is only $3, and there are100 to choose from. A must when in Chicago.

As simple as that. They are true artists. From the cocktails to the appetizers to the entrees to the deserts, everything you order is just spectacular. Menu pretty much changes daily so you never know what to expect. They dont take reservations, and it is always quite busy, but it is well worth the wait. You can always wait by... More

My wife and I visited for dinner before heading to a show on a Friday night. Arrived just after 5, which seemed to be wise as when we left there was a bit of a wait and not much area to do so. The food was delicious, especially the Fried Chicken Roulade and Beef Tartare. Between us we had a... More

We went to Longman and Eagle for my son's birthday. We got there around 5 on a Monday night. The atmosphere is inviting, with a hipster feel. There were 4 people in our party and we were seated right away. We started with some craft cocktails. They were all excellent. We shared all of the plates we ordered. We started... More

A little over a year ago this used to be my boyfriends and I's favorite restaurant. It was amazing in every way. But Each time we go back We are a little bit more disappointed, unimpressed and unhappy. To where we will no longer come back.
