While visiting my son and his wife, we went here for dinner. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait(we waited 1.5hrs), but it was worth it. They have plenty of tables outside, and in to have a drink and talk while waiting. Beer selection is outstanding, and the variety of mixed drinks was amazing. Once seated, our waiter,... More

From the outside, Longman and Eagle doesn't even look like a restaurant. The hoard of people in line is what gives it away. I've eaten here numerous times and I think I've only sat at a table once or twice. We usually end up eating at the bar to avoid the hour wait. The menu consists of a variety of... More

Imaginative combination of ingredients and taste. Fresh and good fish, well prepared. Not the place for the intimate and quite conversation, but great for good taste and excellent food. Remember they have a large and impressive selection of whiskey, so when selecting from the desert menu, you might want to have a look at the whole whiskey menu as well.... More

Our first time here but we live 90 miles away in Wauwatosa, WI. It is a restaurant our son brings family and friends to as often as he can. We found the service staff to be friendly, expedient & informative. They were quite accommodating to my gluten sensitivity, and although I do wish I could have tried their pate (why... More

the room was too dark, the plates too large for the tiny over priced portions, the drinks were good but way too expensive, the dessert wasn't even sweet but weird. Crowded, uncomfortable seating with no ambiance. They should pay their light bill and turn the lights back on. Thank goodness I wasn't paying for the food because it was CRAZY... More

It would be easy to walk by the restaurant in Logan Square because the only sign is a painted one on a tinted window. Everything is made from scratch in the restaurant so it's a great place for anyone with food allergies to dine. They even make their own breakfast sausage, which is large like a brat. Fresh and flavorful... More

Unlike other Chicago restaurants that tend to dip in quality after making a splash, L&E has remained consistent in delivering fun, creative meals for fairly reasonable 'high class' dining. The place is kept dark and moody, which is fine by me; its a great date spot, but also great for going out with friends, as the bar area also keeps... More

When a place is packed like that at lunch time, during the week and with 23 degrees, it's got to be good. The restaurant is in the Logan Square area, it's so unpretentious from the outside that we walked by it twice without noticing it. But that's Chicago. Simple places outside, often simple inside as well and good food at... More

Went in July. Had to wait about an hour and a half for a table (they don't take reservations) but it was worth it! Try the meatballs and the steak. Yum!

Longman & Eagle is my son’s favorite restaurant, so early Monday evening, me, Linda, Ryan, and Maggie made the short trek into Wicker Park to partake in an amazing dining experience. The ambiance is rustic, what one might call roughhewn, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm. The place is a bustle of activity, tables placed close together, some... More
