Very highly rated and not hard to know why. A bounty of whiskies and other well-mixed drinks -- offered with glee as soon as we hit our table, as if every meal required a firm dose of liquor. And food that seeks that outer edge of farm-fresh wholesomeness, but with an odd tilt towards ingredient variety that makes some dishes... More

The place is not close to Chicago's down town, so there wasen't a lot of touristis, the atmosphere is more local. I enjoyed the food, very sophisticaded and service was good as well.

Was in way early to beat the dinner rush. Had a few tastes of their hand selected whiskey as well as the L&E flight. Very very good stuff. Actually did end up staying for dinner, had the rabbit and that was very good as well. Will for sure be making a return trip to try some other whiskey's! The waitress... More

This gastro-pub serves great cocktails and wonderful food. The menu is not overly ambitious and covers sufficient ground so that there is something for everyone. The wait staff is helpful in recommending how much to order and the service is just right. The small plates are just right for sharing among 3 to 4 people. The salads are super fresh... More

I had the PBR breakfast without the PBR ( yeah, I know, I'm pretty boring). This breakfast is very ordinary - I mean come on. So, I'm not sure how it could be so out of this world delicious but it was. EVERYTHING!! Since it didn't make sense - I came back the next day. Whoa!!! It was just delicious.... More

We were in Chicago this weekend visiting friends and they took us to their favorite neighborhood restaurant. I understand why this is their favorite! The wait staff is very knowledgeable and prompt in their service. I ordered the Duck Hash. Let me save you some time..... don't open the menu if you go there for brunch. Just order this dish.... It has been months since I visited Chicago, and I am still thinking of how much I enjoyed the food and the drinks here. This will be the first place I go next time I'm in the area.

There's lots of fun places you can stop off at on the Blue Line that runs from Chicago O'Hare to downtown. One of them is Logan Square, which is part of Chicago's heritage/history, particularly its boulevards and houses. We came across this 'gastropub' purely by chance, looking to find a comforting spot out of the rain. What a find! Brunch... More

We(party of 4) were at Longman & Eagle early on Saturday evening. We got a table right away. My husband immediately was grouchy when he found out our two choices of appetizers came in multiples of three- Three meatballs served with polenta and pesto(fabulous) and beer battered smelts(there turned out to be 5 small ones). I did find his complaint... More
