This is my bf's favorite restaurant, so I had to give it a try the first time I visited Chicago. (He's a local.) The menu has tacos, burritos, tortas, plates, etc., but I didn't see any seafood. I guess there probably wouldn't be any fresh seafood, as Chicago is landlocked and not by the ocean. :P I didn't know what... More

I came here for some late night tacos with friends. Definitely try the "lengua", or beef tongue tacos. They were amazing! I also had the poblano pepper taco which was a lightly breaded poblano pepper stuffed with cheese. Can you get any better than that?!? I would agree that you don't go to this place for the ambiance but the... More

Seriously, this is a late night place. If you are starving and want good tacos...this is where you need to stop before heading home. I only eat one kind of taco....the beef tongue....it's fricking amazing. Doesnt sound so appealing...but I'd say, give it a try...you might like it!

Easily the best burrito I've ever had. La Pasadita is a local institution. It's a total dive and very simple, but ultimately safe and well worth it. They are open late making them a great eat for after a night of going out. If you are looking for authentic food that has been enjoyed by the locals for years, this... More

La pasadita is just that Pasadita.. no longer the place to go for a fast Burrito, they are so expensive, small and not fresh, not worth it at all. The place is dirty looking and old, we will no longer go there at all.

La Pasadita has a restaurant but skip the restaurant and go to the taco stand/restaurant. It's a small, little place, easy to miss. It's on Ashland just south of Division. They just sell tacos. I recommend steak with cheese and cilantro... my personal favorite. They are corn tortillas. If you want more than tacos, there's the restaurant next door. They... More

I don't get it...everyone loves the place, but I just don't get it. I find the food unremarkable and the service rather off. There are a bunch of La Pasadita's on the same corner - and I went to the one you can dine in...I didn't love it... I know it's authentic and some folks like this - I like... More

Eat like a local and stop by one of these great dive mexican joints. The carne asada burrito is the must have item on the menu but they have vegetarian options as well. Don't be shy break out of the routine traveled roads and stop by La Pasadita for the snack you need after some drinks in the late evening!

Sorry, but I must strongly disagree with all those folks that think this place has the best (steak) tacos & burritos. Found the steak meat to be tough/chewey and not particularly tasty or well-seasoned. Tacos were also very greasy, and too little 'filling' of onions and cilantro. Also, we paid the extra 50cents for gaucamole, and there was barely a... More
