An Irish Sports Bar with fast service and a varied menu of good food

Stopped in because of proximity and varied menu. Crowded but easily got a table and the noise level was comfortable for chatting over drinks. Service was great, incredible beer selection and specialty drink menu. Food was what you'd expect from a pub but tasty and fast.

Staying at a hotel a couple blocks away and they had recommended O'Toole's. We ordered just the burger meals. Large patties cooked exactly the way we wanted.

Staying nearby we used the pub as our meeting place in the afternoon. Can get busy when a game is on. Tried the food first day and loved it so had dinner more than once. The Chicago hot dogs were fantastic, two good sized hot dogs with fries. Good selection of beers and very efficient wait staff. Highly recommend the... More

I went to this bar 4 nights in a row while in Chicago for business. It was right across from my hotel so it was convenient. There were some really big games those nights (Stanley cup, World Cup, and NBA playoffs) so it may have been busier than usual. It's tough to get a seat at the bar but there... More

We were having a family reunion in Chicago -- we came from two different states and Mexico -- and had dinner here with five adults and a baby to watch an NBA finals game. We had our own booth, ala, with our own TV. The menu is varied, and the prices very fair. Great atmosphere and service.

Our small group of 7 visited this place to eat and watch the Golden State Warriors playoff Basketball game while visiting Chicago. We were seated in a room in the back with about 5 more tables. There were lots of TVs but when the noise level goes its hard to hear. We helped in the noise area as we cheered... More

Myself and some other Irish folks were in town for the Microsoft Ignite conference. We decided to go a bar after dinner. The doorman at the entrance was both offensive, racist, and threatening. The staff inside were unfriendly and unwilling to communicate. This place is a complete dump and nothing like other places we visited in Chicago.

Great beer selection. Karaoke was a bit loud. The spinach artichoke dip was very tasty and the bartenders quick on their feet. It is across from the Doubletree hotel on Ohio street and next to a bus stop. Very well situated.

We stopped in for lunch and the place was not too busy -- most of the people must have been waiting for the Blackhawks Stanley Cup game that night. It definitely had a sports bar feel and based on the number of TVs all around, it would be a great place to watch the game. Anyway, we'd come for the... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
