Great British pub in downtown

Elephant and Castle is the perfect meeting place to down a few beers after work. Nice atmosphere and waitstaff is friendly even when busy. Didn't stay for dinner as we had other plans.

This restaurant is right next to the Club Quarters hotel and very convenient if you're staying there. The food and beer are good and I would recommend this place if you're tired of pizza.

This was a bit of stretch - we realized after we got to chicago that where we wanted to eat was way too far to walk. So this place had a GF veggie burger option so we went for it. Nothing to write home about. The toppings were basic. They had poutine which at first I really appreciated but was... More

Located in the financial district. The eggs and bacon were good. The turkey sausage was kind of bland. Decent breakfast potatoes. Excellent quick service. It's located next to a hotel and walking distance from a lot of financial and legal offices in the area.

First night in Chicago and we popped into this place. Seems to be a great local place to hang out and catch a game or two. The noise level is extremely acceptable for those enjoying a meal as well. Husband had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes. It looked yummy! I had a cup of the vegetable soup (soup... More

Since this restaurant was at the Central Loop hotel I stayed, I ate here my first night in. Food was typical Irish Pub food, but very well presented. The bar staff (which is where I ate) seemed very distracted with their service. It didn't seem to be a priority for them. Small restaurant and very crowded. I would eat there... More

On a Thursday night after 9 pm, we were trying to find a restaurant open and happened upon Elephant & Castle. We aren't big drinkers, so we were really dining here for the food. It was pretty good. My husband ordered the hummus and I had the Slum Dog. Tasty and interesting. We also shared for dessert the Bailey's cheesecake.... More

Tried it 3 times while staying at the adjoining hotel ,first night hostess was rude, not many guests at the time and sat us (2) next to 2 tables of 8 that were having a wild time. We kindly asked if it wasn't too much trouble to be seated at a table for two and the hostess, let out a deep breath,... More

A great atmosphere, good food and drinks, including a great choice of craft beers. Located right next to Club Quarters, so a brilliant place to eat when you are staying there. The staff are friendly and the service quick. A pretty good choice of menu.

After passing this restaurant earlier in the day we decided to stop in for dinner. What caught my eye was the name "pub" on the outside, having just visited England 3 weeks ago we thought we would see just how much of a -pub- it really was. We were not disappointed. It had just the right amount of English-American mix to... More
