My wife and I visited Carson's during our trip to Chicago. I got a nice half slab of ribs, which was delicious and moderately priced. She got BBQ charred pork chop which was cooked very well. It was a nice dinner. Nothing spectacular. The BBQ was average. Family of four it was 120.00 plus add 10 dollars for parking. The ribs were good. The steak was over cooked. Chicken was okay. The ice cream sundae was good also. Nothing was amazing just good. Wouldn't go back but it was nice try it once.

I had their ribs and they were really, really good. I usually don't eat ribs because of the mess but every other patron was clearly enjoying their meal so I ordered them. Part of the experience is the ambiance of some restaurant from Goodfellas. It is pretty dark inside with a lot of memorabilia on the walls. I was kind... More

Worst service ever!! The waitress forgot about us and once I asked the waitress about the food she said she forgot and got too busy with other customers. I asked for the food again and she apologized and then went and helped out a different table. I was only noticed when I left and went up front to talk to... More

I had high expectations, returning 20 yrs later to what I thought was the best ribs I ever had. Alas, I was somehow disappointed. Not that the baby back are not good, but the recipe seems outdated, with so many new chefs and restaurants giving a new twist to this american classic. I did eat well and licked my fingers,... More

Visiting Chicago for the first time from Sydney, I thought I will try the BBQ ribs here and went to Carson. The ribs and the BBQ chicken were really tasty and tender. The corn bread was hot and taste excellent. On the top of that the service was very good and professional.

We went there after we read the reviews. It was a great experience. The ribs were cooked wonderfully and sides were yummy too. A must do while you are in Chicago.

We went here twice on our 3 day trip to Chicago.....that is how amazing it is. I also ordered it to be shipped and delivered for Christmas dinner. Ribs cooked to perfection and the sauce makes it perfect. The very best part is the coleslaw. Even if you hate coleslaw you will love this. I loved getting a bib. Great... More

I've always heard of the venerable Carson's and it was okay. Their ribs are good -- but I like my Texas style barbecue better. A bit pricy too.

Carsons has it right. I travel all over the US and world and Carsons by far has best ribs, coleslaw and corn bread i've ever had. Outstanding quality, taste and consistency. I could go other places and i just keep coming back here. The staff is also professional and accommodating. Thank you Carsons for the excellence in what you do!
