Great food and great atmosphere. Really loved the gangster theme. The ribs and the deep dish pizza were really awesome and I would recommend this place.

Came here after receiving several suggestions to come here. We ordered chicken strips and deep-dish pizza. Chicken (under the appetizers) said it came with choice of dipping sauce. I read that to mean that the sauce would be on the side, and since the kids like chicken plain, went with the strips and ordered the spicy sauce. Unfortunately, the strips... More

On the recommendation of a Free Tours by Foot guide, we went to Exchequer for our Chicago deep dish pizza experience. We had tried to go to Unos and Lou Malnati's, but my husband and starving teens couldn't wait 1+ hours just to get in to the restaurants (plus another 30-60minutes for the pizza...). We had a late lunch, so... More

I came to the Exchequer after my Double Decker bus tour of the city. I had a half rack of ribs and French fires, and they were -- no exaggeration here -- some of the best ribs I've ever had. They were absolutely phenomenal. Very tender, great flavor, and a delicious tomato-style barbecue sauce. The fries were great too. I... More

We only had the deep dish pizza to eat. There were four of us. We all enjoyed it very well. The small deep dish will feed at least two. We ordered two small deep dish pies. The waitress was from Arizona originally, yet very helpful and friendly. You will wait for the pizza to cook, since deep dish is more... More

My family and I popped in here after a quick Tripadvisor review during a visit to Chicago. We knew the odds were in our favor with so mnay positive reviews but we didn't expect our server "Eddie" to be so good. He went above and beyond, taking our picture multiple times and did the same for other large parties he... More

Went for a few beers and pizza before the airport. Chicago style crust is different than I am used to but I really liked it. I would return here as it has a lot of history. Al Capone for one.

On a business trip and needed someplace within walking distance. Little did we know that not only was this little restaurant historic but that we were getting ready for a totally new experience in pizza. Never had Chicago deep dish before and our server was very helpful. At her suggestion we ordered a small pie and were forewarned about the... More

My husband and I went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a Bell Hop at The Palmer House Hilton. We weren't disappointed. We both ordered the Chicago Deep Dish pizza - him Meat Eaters, and me a build-your-own veggie. They were larger than either of us were expecting, but delicious!! We bagged up what we couldn't finish, and gave... More
