Mmmmm Chicago pizza!

Our first night in Chicago and of course we had to find pizza. We came upon Exchequer and decided to try it. We ordered a deep dish called "The Mob". It had pepperoni, Italian beef, bacon and fresh garlic....delish! It's a quaint place with great food. We ordered a large for two of us and it was... read more

A Chicago institution, that is wonderfully convenient the Palmer House. Exchequer is usually busy, noisy, friendly, with hard working and friendly wait staff. Great place to catch a game on television, have a Chicago deep dish pizza, and sample a few local pints or pitchers.

I was fortunate that this place was right around the corner from my hotel. I saw someone else's review saying that it was the best pizza in Chicago. I don't have any way to know if that's true or not but I would certainly think it would be a top contender. The crust was absolutely perfect. Simply delicious. The staff... More

We hadn't been to this place in many years, so when a friend was visiting from out of town, we suggested having dinner there. They have a decent selection of beer, big screens to watch the NHL playoffs, and excellent chicken wings. The guys ordered a pizza, though, and when it came they immediately noticed it was not what they... More

Our first stop in Chicago was of course for Chicago style pizza. Exchequers has an incredible menu and it was hard to choose...so we tried a little of everything. A++ on food quality, service and price. We were there early and there was no wait to be seated. Food was served hot and fresh and delicious!

Definitely a restaurant with real character, warmth and friendly efficient service. I chose a 'small' deep dish pizza, something I had to do whilst in Chicago, and had to ask for a doggy bag as there was just too much for me to manage. It was delicious, flavoursome and definitely a quality product, but for me, just too big a... More

Had pizza, wings and burgers. All were delicious. The staff was great! Beer was decent. A little weird to have to walk through the bar with kids to get to the dinning room but oh well.

We found this gem after walking for hours downtown. The food was fabulous. I got spicy sausage penne and it was some of the best pasta I have ever eaten. There was not one complaint from anyone in our party. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was amazing. My partner had the most amazing fish and chips I have ever seen. I had the Greek lamb. They have one heck of a chef there and great staff. Lots of pics to see. We were told from people Al Capone used to hang out there

This is usually my first stop on any trip to Chicago. Great local, non-touristy atmosphere, and the deep-dish pizza is to die for.

This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours.
