Before Show Cocktail

This is probably your only before/after show venue (Oriental) and it was really busy....NY like. Appetizer was good and the service as well. I'l like to have had more time for a full dinner.

Had dinner here and while the food was good, service and drinks were so-so. Got to the restaurant ahead of our reservation time, so decided to have a drink at the bar. Ordered a Manhattan and it was terrible. The bartender was good about it and replaced with a different drink. Went into the restaurant for dinner, and the service... More

After seeing an advertisement in the hot tix office, we stopped in to make a reservation before our 8p show. We were able to get the last 5:30 reservation. The pri-fixe dinner option was very reasonable and the food was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and did not rush us even though it was a very busy Friday night.... More

I have dined at Petterino's a couple of dozen times in the past few months for business related lunches. The staff is exceedingly accommodating, the service excellent--attentive without being overbearing, and the food is always exquisitely prepared. Years ago when my business was in the loop I used to be a regular there, and my recent high-quality experiences have lead... More

I had eaten lunch at Petterino's previously and always enjoyed it, but dinner before a show was outstanding and I can't decide if it was more because of the delicious food or the terrific staff. They are used to dealing with a pre-show crowd and know how to hurry the meal without hurrying the guests. My friend and I each... More

After searching for a nice steakhouse in downtown Chicago and finding that most of them are outrageously expensive, I discovered Petterino's on line and gave it a try for dinner on a Monday evening with my family. We were pleased with the food and service. I had pasta, my wife had chicken pot pie, and my cousins had steak Diane... More

In the city for a few days and found this Italian gem only a 15 minute walk from our hotel. Theater night so no tables available until 8:15 but we were ready for a bit at 6:30. Took a seat in the bar area and found the service prompt and very courteous. Small bits at $5.00 per dish were the... More

My husband and I have been a long-term customer of Petterino's and have usually dined there at least once a month over the past 10 years. Every year I have usually purchased $500 worth of Lettuce Entertain You gift cards (at a nice discounted rate) and used those over the upcoming year to pay for meals. Petterino's has always been... I really enjoy this place and we've been coming here for years. I'm finally remembering to review! It's always busy right before a show and yesterday (Sunday) was no exception, but we were able to find seats for the 4 of us in the bar. Just had a couple of wines and shared an appetizer this time, but we have... More

Pre-theater dining. Attached to The Goodman Theatre, so it's a no brainer. Petterino's staff understand timing with theater goers. Waite staff spot on. Friendly, professional. Meal was not rushed and everything was perfect.
