We enjoyed another great dinner here while in town for a little Christmas shopping. The service and food are always top notch. The scallops and the pasta are top notch.

We chose Petterino's based on it's location next to the Goodman Theater where we had tickets to see a play. When we arrived, we were told that there was a 35 minute wait. We decided to take a seat in the bar after waiting a while and seeing no movement in or out of the dining area. The bar was... More

This is a standard "go to" for us when attending a show in downtown Chicago. Petterino's knows how to treat their diners and serves the highest quality delights imaginable with a highly qualified and talented staff. There is never a disappointment at Petterino's! There are too many wonderful dishes and you could recommend everyone of them. That said, some of... More

We stumbled across this restaurant on our first day in the city. We enjoyed lunch around 12 ish. I am very picky, so I ordered rigatoni noodles and marinara sauce. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. My husband really enjoyed their steak and whole potato fries. He said the steak was a little bit spicy but... More

We had a pretty good evening meal here a few nights ago. I had the mussels to start in a sauce that was a little salty / over seasoned for my taste. Mussels were reasonably well cooked but not as soft and sweet as they might have been. My entree was the scallops with partisan topping, capers and spinach. Scallops... More

Ate here with friends. Were seated right on time. This, along with the attentive bus boy, were the 2 best things about our dinner. We ordered a cesar salad to split before dinner which, because of the brown and wilted lettuce, we promptly returned...well, we tried to be prompt but our waiter was nowhere to be found. More cornbread was... More

We made reservations for 12 for lunch on short notice on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We went to see the Play "The Grinch Stole Christmas", so we were just a block away and changed out mind about the restaurant we planned on going t, north of downtown. Our table was ready when we arrived and our waiter gave wonderful service,... More

My college kids were home for Thanksgiving and we went to the Daley center to see the Christmas Tree/German Mart and then to have a nice meal with other family. 9 of us in the party. I have eaten here before and have had pretty good meals however this time.......the service was slow, he brought me the wrong dish which... More

My two sister and I went to the Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza on Saturday after Thanksgiving. After walking around like cattle shoulder to shoulder for two hours and CRAZY beer and food lines, we decided to make our exit and have cocktails at Petterino's. The bar is a wonderful cold weather oasis (even though the temps on Saturday were in... More

I have dined here for lunch dozens of times. The food and service are always top-shelf. NOT SO FAST! Horrendous on this occasion! My bus boy (man) spilled Italian dressing down the back of a suit I was wearing for the very first time. Enough to anger me, but I wasn't PO'd. I asked if the plate that had spilled... More
