It could have been the 1940's or 50's...it just happened to be 2014, but who cares! This place oozes the past and that is part of its charm. Easy to imagine that the servers have grown up in this place and are happy to have done so. Our drinks were well prepared and quite good. The bread basket was, too.... More

First off, the atmosphere is very nice...that's where it ends. The service was decent, orders got place to the wrong person and drinks were slow to arrive. I had the Ribey. It was decent, but no better than a chain restaurant. The sides were average. The Carrot cake and chocolate cake were no better than a grocery store bakery. The... More

My wife and I went to this classic old style restaurant on a Friday night. It was very crowded. It is a small restaurant with hardly any place to stand waiting for our table. The tables themselves were very closely spaced. We split a T-Bone which was so large that we still had steak leftover. The steak itself was cooked... More

Decided on this longtime establishment to celebrate my Husband and Daughters Birthday. Have to say it was a let down. For Appetizers we ordered Fried Calamari, Stuffed Mushrooms and Baked Clams not bad, but not outstanding just mediocre. We were a party of 6 and each of us ordered steaks. I ordered the Prime Rib and thought it was a... More

This place hasn't been remodeled or updated since the 40's, but the food is amazing. We started out with calamari and a half order of fried ravioli - both delicious. We both had the bone-in filets. When they arrived, they looked somewhat charred on the outside, but the flavor was exceptional. We ordered the mashed potatoes for our side, and... More

Went to this restaurant for a large family dinner. There was no children's menu but they graciously split a spaghetti dinner for the two children. The service was good and served in a timely fashion. Food was good, but the price high and portions way to large. The portion size should be reduced and the price reduced to match. The... More

It was a big birthday year for my spouse, and dinner at Gene and Georgetti's was what he wanted. The meal was up to the challenge. He had a perfectly prepared steak and I enjoyed a wonderful seafood dish. The caprese salad is not to be missed! Even if you are not a bread person, try the rye breadsticks. You... More

This restaurant had to be one of the best for steaks that I have eaten in , the steaks are so big but tender and flavoursome at the same time , the atmosphere is buzzing , the decor feels like you are back in the 1950s ,the staff we're excellent too . Booking is advised as it's ALWAYS busy .... More

If you want the old Chicago, you need to eat here. Great steaks, potatoes, and old waiters. This place has it all. Food was great, cocktails were just okay, but nice wine selection. We sat upstairs...very steep stairs. great time
