Nice little Italian gem

Just next door to the Wyndham hotel, we stopped in for a meal on our arrival to Chicago. The Concierge gave us a 20% discount coupon! and we found prices fair, with nice (European) portions, fresh food and service with a smile.

We stumbled on this restaurant and were very pleased with the pizza. We walked in early and received our appetizers quickly. The pizza arrived within the expected time and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will stop in again!

I've been here a couple of times and it's just ok. It's nice to be outside and kids like it, sometimes we will stop here if we're in a hurry on our way somewhere because it's close to our preferred hotel. Personally I like my dining and hotel experiences to be outstanding when travelling so I probably won't go back.... More

Went here for dinner since it was connected to my hotel (River Hotel). The best thing I can say for this place is that it is easier to find than the hotel that it is connected to (their sign is bigger). Had drinks and calamari to start with. Drinks didn't have much alcohol, if any, and were very expensive. The... More

Food is OK, service not bad but the location has been very handy when staying at the river hotel. Great for a late dinner when we arrive and a good spot for a night cap after a night out. The pizza is actually pretty good, calamari so so.

We visited the restaurant several times during our visit to Chicago and the quality was uneven. One time I ate pasta with chicken that was dry and badly cooked. At a later time I ate a risotto which was really good. It all gives an little uneven impression. In the inner room the acoustics and noise level is very poor... More

We had a delicious meal at Bella Bacino's. The only complaint was they did not open the wine in front of us and when we complained to the server, he apologized but gave us no explanation. When we went back, the same thing happened again. The food was great, especially the create your own pasta bowl. Seafood was excellent too.... More

Okay, no white table cloths or wait staff in tuxes. But in our view, this family owned restaurant knows how to prepare great food at a good price, and serve it with excellent staff. As a starter we had the Classic Bruschetta. Simply perfect and absolutely delicious. For dinner we both had the Fish in Crazy Water. It appeared on... More

I loved the cozy atmosphere of this restaurant. It was a little busy the night we were in (a few large groups) and our server was a little scattered, but still really nice and our food was still delivered fairly quickly. The items on the menu all looked delicious, but both of us got a 'create your own' pasta bowl... More

My daughter and I ate dinner here one evening while staying at the Wyndham. It was cold outside with freezing drizzle and we were too tired to go far. This place was just steps away from the hotel and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the deep dish pizza and it was delicious. I do still like Gino's East... More
