On a wintry evening during the holidays, we visited Bella Bacino's, at the recommendation of our hotel's concierge. The restaurant is ideally located just West of Michigan Avenue on Wacker Drive. If you're staying in The 'Loop' or on North Michigan Avenue, you can reach the restaurant on foot or by taking a short cab ride along Michigan Avenue. We were... More

There are over 3,300 pizza purveyors in Chicago. When Dan Bacin opened his original pizza parlor at 2204 North Lincoln over 30 years ago, he vowed to be the best. That mean fresh ingredients, making everything from scratch and providing a menu that covers everything from soup to nuts. As his business and pizza caught on, he opened restaurants at... More

I'm from Chicago and I've tried many of the famous (and not so famous) Chicago deep dish pizzas. This place is one of a kind, friendly, and the pizza is awesome!

We came here on the recommendation of the concierge at the hotel we were staying at. We ordered a deep dish pizza (half spinach and half sausage). It was very good but too much food for 2 people. Perhaps it might have been fine if we hadn't stuffed ourselves first with the complimentary focaccia bread that was delicious ....

We went here as part of a pizza tour and this was probably the classiest of all of the places. It's weirdly situated in a hotel but the restaurant itself is upscale and offers a good dining experience. We had the spinach deep dish pizza which was really more like a lasagna. It was very good and one of our... More

After trying Giordano's only to discover that we had to wait for 1h30 for a table or a pizza to go we followed the recommendation by the staff from our hotel and we really had a delicious Chicago deep dish Pizza (the Bacino's special). The staff was very friendly and they even turned down the heating when we mentioned it... More

This is one of our Favorite places to have Pizza when in Chicago for the School Board Convention. Very Close to the Hyatt and right at corner of Wacker and Michigan Avenue. Can't wait to go back, one of my favorite places in Chicago!

We had the deep dish pizza, house salad, warm goat cheese salad and a child's portion of the house pasta bowl. All were very good. Friendly staff and good service. Average Italian decor. The waiting area is small and a bit awkward adjoining Club Quarters lobby. Bathrooms also in basement of Club Quarters. There is no kids menu, they serve... More

The food is acceptable, but not exceptional. The staff on my 2 visits (same waiter each time) seems to show an aire of indifference. I was given a basket of bread, after my entrée arrived. The table next to me received their bread before their salad. This is a small detail, but something that a out of town visitor notices.... More

We come here every time we come to Chicago, and that's been upwards of 20 years, so they've been doing something right, and continue to do so. We ordered a Small (2-3 person) pizza and a pitcher of Revolution Eugene Porter. Service was attentive and efficient, and since we were the only people in the restaurant, that was to be... More
