As Always... It Was The Bomb!

Just love this place. We ate at XOCO and Topobalmpo this trip as well and must say.... Frontera continues to be the best of the krewe. We never have reservations but make sure we get a bar seat by arriving 30 minutes before the doors open. Go, order anything and love it.

Wonderful meal. We started with oysters on the half shell. The carne asada was spectacular. My mouth waters just remembering it. The drawback? They don't take reservations and they are super popular, so you just have to wait in line. It was well worth the wait!

I was hesitant to try this restaurant due to some mix reviews, but are so glad we decided to try it! It was mobbed at 11:30am on a Saturday so make sure you make reservations, even for lunch. They told us it would be an hour, but seated us within 20 minutes which was great. I could have ordered everything... More

The wait was going to be an hour and a half so we went and sat in the bar. From the bar you can order from the entire menu. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful! We ordered the Carne Asada Brava and the Oaxacan-style Carne Asada. Both dishes were fantastic and the wait was minimal once we ordered. For... More

Rick Bayless is well known for his expertise in authentic Mexican cuisine, so when I saw on the ever-reliable Eater 38 that he had a restaurant in the city I was visiting, I had to go. I also have been a fan of Frontera chipotle salsa on my fish tacos, and I didn’t connect the dots that this was his... More

Very good food with small portion sizes for the price. We had 2 entrees and 2 drinks $110.00 Cdn. We did not have any appetizers nor dessert. We should of made reservations, and couldn't get in unless we sat at the bar, which we did as we wanted to try this restaurant. It is a very, very busy place, the... More

If you want to get in here, make reservations first, but once there food was good, service was great. We had the ceviche, guacamole and some other appetizers to share. The flan and chocolate pican pie were very good. Frontera Grill has been checked off my list.

The food is imaginative and expertly prepared. Definitely try the guacamole and ceviche variations. The mole combo is my go-to favorite, and even the desserts are fab. The only reason for 4 stars is that is so often crowded and so not conducive to waiting. If you have a large enough group, you can make a reservation . Otherwise, come... More

We went to Frontera Grill for my birthday weekend. It was absolutely amazing. We started out with some drinks at the bar while we waited for a table outside. The basil and champagne margaritas were delicious. We tried the tortilla soup and ceviche to start...yummy! I had the Carne Asada and my fiance had the chilequiles. Delicious! The service from...
