I had eaten here (different location) on two other trips several years ago and had looked forward to coming back. I was disappointed in the food, service, and atmosphere. It wasn't bad, just not nearly as good as it was.

REALLY good service complemented by wonderful very tasty (served at the right temperature) food: salad, potatoes, meats. Nice wine & cocktails. Comfortable environment.

My first experience of Southern cuisine and what an amazing one! Best beef tips, cheesy mask, chicken and 'slaw imaginable. Everything is freshly cooked and the flavours are amazing. They also load the table with hot sauces from all over the US - fun to experiment with and to try pushing your limits. Friendly service and pretty cheap for the... More

If you want cajun autenticity - this is the place. Secretly hidden away in an office building in the diamond district, close to The Bean, this restaurant is situated on the seventh floor - hence the name. The food is cajun in all it's variations - and it's good!! You'll get a treat, no matter what you choose. Usually it... More

The food was decent and well seasoned with salt and cayenne but lacked depth. Great portion sizes and fair prices, moody service. good drinks

A local recommended this place to us. We had to ask around a little to find it. It is on the 7th floor of an office building. They do not take credit cards. It is New Orleans Cajun. The food is excellent and there was plenty of it. There are 20 different hot sauces on the table if you feel... More

We went to the Seven on Heaven on North Michigan Ave (FYI: the entrance is on the side street). Absolutely delicious! The Orzolaya was fabulous and everyone from my 8 year old, to my 13 year old, to my husband found something on the menu they wanted. Good beer list - always a plus! The restaurant is New Orleans inspired... More

Heaven on Seven attracts all ages from families with small children to old folks, like us. The menu is dizzyingly varied; the selection of hot sauces is dazzling. Service was decent but not outstanding. The decor is eclectic (lots of Mardes Gras things hanging around); a wall of hot sauces from around the world makes up part of the eye... More

My family and I have eaten at Heaven on Seven twice now and have had a good experience both times. The atmosphere is Mardi Gras decor and the food is really good. I recommend the Voodoo Enchiladas and the Gumbo. The restaurant is family friendly. Take your time looking over the menu. There is a lot to choose from. The... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
