Quircky, interesting and awesome comfort food!

My first experience of Southern cuisine and what an amazing one! Best beef tips, cheesy mask, chicken and 'slaw imaginable. Everything is freshly cooked and the flavours are amazing. If you want cajun autenticity - this is the place. Secretly hidden away in an office building in the diamond district, close to The Bean, this restaurant is situated on the seventh floor - hence the name. The food is cajun in all it's variations - and it's good!! You'll get a treat, no matter what you choose. Usually it... More

The food was decent and well seasoned with salt and cayenne but lacked depth. Great portion sizes and fair prices, moody service. good drinks

A local recommended this place to us. We had to ask around a little to find it. It is on the 7th floor of an office building. They do not take credit cards. It is New Orleans Cajun. The food is excellent and there was plenty of it. There are 20 different hot sauces on the table if you feel... More

We went to the Seven on Heaven on North Michigan Ave (FYI: the entrance is on the side street). Absolutely delicious! The Orzolaya was fabulous and everyone from my 8 year old, to my 13 year old, to my husband found something on the menu they wanted. Good beer list - always a plus! The restaurant is New Orleans inspired... More

Heaven on Seven attracts all ages from families with small children to old folks, like us. The menu is dizzyingly varied; the selection of hot sauces is dazzling. Service was decent but not outstanding. The decor is eclectic (lots of Mardes Gras things hanging around); a wall of hot sauces from around the world makes up part of the eye... More

My family and I have eaten at Heaven on Seven twice now and have had a good experience both times. The atmosphere is Mardi Gras decor and the food is really good. I recommend the Voodoo Enchiladas and the Gumbo. The restaurant is family friendly. Take your time looking over the menu. There is a lot to choose from. The... More

Initially, we were trying to find a different restaurant, but got turned around. We walked by this restaurant and remembered that people reviewed this restaurant highly. So we gave it a shot. Are we happy we did. I had a fried oyster Po-boy with a cup of gumbo. My wife ordered a cup of gumbo. The gumbo is excellent! The... More

My boyfriend went to chicago for a long weekend and went to heaven on seven for dinner Friday night. I had previously been there and raved about it; this time was different. I had spivey chicken pasta he the gumbo. Both were ok... Service was the worse we had in Chicago.

Third year on the trot to this fantastic little place. A simple eatery with a really good menu and wonderful tastes. Enough additional spice bottle to please even the craziest hot thrill seeker. a Good drinks selections too martinis and beers (stone) available. The mixed starter was a great way to begin and then we got carried away in swapping... More
