Fantastic little pub with great food. The Roast Beef is to die for. Prices very reasonable. Check it out!

I was unaware of Hackney's until several of us stumbled upon it as a place to hang out for drinks before dinner down the road. They have an amazing beer selection and I loved the atmosphere. It is a down to earth, honest, neighbourhood pub without the blaring music, dozens of TVs and pretentious people. It was almost like a... More

Visiting the museums? Taking an architecture tour? Heading to or back from a Bears game at Soldier Field? Maybe taking in Grant Park or just completing one of the many running events out of Grant Park. Hackneys Printers Row is an ideal spot to grab a bite to eat, have a drink and soak up a warm vibe of a... More

As a kid, we always went to the big suburban locations, but this is a nice, smaller spot on Printer's Row, a historic stretch of old buildings that once house printers. These blocks have a smaller, neighborhood feel, and in the summer, there are tables out front. I come a lot for work, and I like to get salads, which... More

I should be embarrassed about the fact that I frequent this location at least twice a week, but this post will be merely a gush-fest surrounding the atmosphere, hospitality, comfort and familiar menu that I have come to love. Try the tilapia tacos or the black bean burger. Their specials are also always on point. The servers= sexy. Shout out... More

Upon the advice of our concierge at The Hotel Blake- we decided to lunch at Hackney's. This a great little pub/restaurant with a lot of character. They have an extensive craft beer selection and the staff is very knowledgeable on the varieties. We decided to order the Holy Guacamole burger with Sweet potato fries and the Octoberfest Turkey Burger with... More

Hackney's in Printers Row is a little oasis of friendliness, a popular neighborhood bar/restaurant that attracts a loyal crowd, including families. Their burgers are great, especially the inside-out burger with the cheese inside. I like the chicken breast salads, such as the mesquite and the strawberry salads. The onion block is to die for. Drinks are generous, especially whisky served... More

Great service and wonderful food. The hot wings are excellent, burgers outstanding...it is a block or so away from the Blake Hotel where we stayed at. The neighborhood is safe, the area is well lit with other establishments in the area as well.

We were hungry for burgers and this was the place for us! They have an inside out burger that looked fabulous. Two of us ordered the Blue Burger and it was big enough to share.
