Great burger!

Not sure what was in their burger but it was super tasty! The fries were just ok and I wished I had of tried a different side. I ate on the bar side and love the vibe of this place. They have several drink specials. Would definitely head there again.

Very quaint, excellent food. I'm not a burger person but couldn't pass up the burgers here. I was not disappointed!

We went here based on Triple D's TV show and a friends review. We had the cheese curds which were amazing. I also had the Hackney burger and it was delicious. This is a must eat place!

Our family of five stopped at Hackneys Pub in the south loop area for lunch. The menu was large yet unique. The stuffed burger (bacon and cheese) was good as were the fries both generous portions. My 13, 19 and 21 year old loved the "famous" onion rings. Many beer specials were available featuring local breweries. The Santa Fe Chicken... More

The beer battered cheese curds were amazing, but they were out of half of the beer on their menu. We ordered burgers and they came overdone and pretty bland. I would have rather made a hamburger at home than paid to eat theirs; almost as if they added zero seasoning to anything, and they way overcooked the egg for my... More

Hackney's is so much a part of the North Shore experience that I was a bit worried about over hyping when I visited the Harms Road location after many years. Perhaps in deference to us aging boomers, they now have a 1/4 lb. hamburger option, and 1/4. 1/2 and full blocks of onion rings. But everything else is pretty much... More

We love going to Hackney's! We got the onion appetizer, and it literally looked like two meals. Then, we shared some amazing corn chowder. After that, I had a burger, which was also really delicious. We felt incredibly full but will definitely be back!

My husband went to Northwestern in the late 60's. One of his favorite restaurants was Hackney's. We decided to give it a try on our latest visit to Chicago. It did not disappoint either of us. The food was delicious, the service was great and the ambiance was fun and energetic. What a wonderful walk down memory lane!

So, I've been to the Hackney's in Glenview several times. But the food was nothing like this place. I ordered fish & chips for $14.95. The breading was soggy, the fish (Cod) was bland. No salt, no pepper, nothing. Exactly what it tasted like, nothing. Had a side of cole slaw. Supposedly their own recipe. Well, you could easily steal... More

This place is known for their burgers which are pretty good. I had the Hackney burger on a pretzel roll and it was pretty decent. The atmosphere was like a typical bar - lots of TVs, people, beer glasses and food. I would return if I was in the area.
