I went here for lunch with my coworkers and i ordered a BBQ Burger with Mac &Cheese in it and it was amazing. Kind of messy, but really good. Three of my coworkers had it and we were satisfied. It not your everyday burger after all. We also tried the Chicago made Green soda, which tasted like candy. I didn't... More

Good neighborhood burger place. Cooked properly, ok fries. Onion rings are a better choice. Decent beer choices and a friendly staff. Nothing ground breaking but a good burger cooked medium rare as requested.

My wife and I ate at Hackney's while staying at the nearby Hilton. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat, despite its tiny size this place can deliver. We waited about 15 minutes for our two top table. If you are looking for a romantic place to have a dinner, this is probably not the place. However, if you are looking... More

Astonishingly many vegetarian menu items, great beers, great service, cool vibe. Unfortunately, my black bean burger was kind of dry and not very flavorful, but the mashed potatoes were stupendous. When they were out of the beer I was hoping for, the server was kind enough to give me a sample of a different one he recommended, which I loved!... More

My colleague just wanted the Close Encounter mountain of onion rings - so while he ordered those, we chose burgers - all the men opting for the (less fat) bison burger, whilst the lady in the party opted for the inside-out burger. She won. The lack of fat meant the burger is dry with less taste... The onion rings were... More

We had dinner at Hackney's primarily because it was very close to our hotel and is apparently a Chicago classic. We found the food acceptable if not particularly memorable, and there were several good craft beers on tap. We enjoyed the sidewalk dining, and lingered over another beer just because it was so pleasant. With so many great restaurants in... More

My daughter and I ate here twice during our visit to Chicago. Both times the food was delicious. I had the Steak and Bleu Cheese Salad and my daughter had a chicken bacon sandwhich with French fries. The restaurant gets very busy so get there before 6:30. We had to wait about 15 minutes but once we were seated the... More

We were directed here by the worker at Sandemeyer's bookstore and it was a great recommendation. Not only were there over 30 different craft brews on tap, they had terrific food and a calm outdoor eating area without a lot of traffic. I had a pannini that I have to learn to make because of the flavor profile of gruyere... More
