Deep Dish Pizza, Not My Favorite.

I realize food reviews are subjective. It depends upon your upbringing, specific tastes, and allergic considerations. I am from NYC. I think there is no better pizza. Deep dish, I believe, is a slight variation to Sicilian. The restaurant décor was fine, the service very good, but the pizza ? Our... read more

Going to Chicago, we knew we wanted to eat a deep dish pizza. Most people talk about Geno's East, Giordano's, or Lou Malnati's. I also heard all those places get very crowded and can have long waits. A friend recommended Pizzeria Due and it did not disappoint. The pizza was delicious and very filling (order a size smaller than you... More

A friend and I ventured to Due's as opposed to Uno which is right down the street. We went around 3 in order to avoid the crowd. It took roughly 45 for our pizza to arrive, in the meantime, we enjoyed a few beers and informative conversation with our bartender. Overall, it was a success but in order for that... More

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Chicago. This was our second Chicago visit, but our first time trying Chicago style pizza! We were starving as we had been traveling and walking most of the day. We stopped in for dinner on recommendation of an advertisement we had seen for Uno and Due. Due was the first... More

Recommended by our limo driver, and within walking distance so I gave it a try on a beautiful evening. Went downstairs to the hostess stand after passing through the casual outdoor dining area. Although I didn't see much of the interior, everything appeared very casual, and maybe a bit old. I ordered the house pizza, small since I was expected... More

Was recommended to eat here over it's original site - Pizzeria Uno. The deep dish pizza is a must in Chicago but I was not overly impressed with it. Now it could have been the toppings I chose but the sauce tasted like it came from a can. I didn't do much research into other pizza places that make the... More

A tourist trap first, mediocre food to boot. Can't believe all the tourists who believe the hype and stand in the long lines... doubt that they will return for a second visit.

Being vegetarians our options are limited, but we relished the spinach deep dish. You may not have much option but to wait in the long queues on weekend. The staff is very good and we had a good time !

Seems pretty classic, love the building. Kind of slow service. I like the outdoor space. Green line is on tap. Great for people watching.
