In 1944 Pizzeria Uno opened in Chicago, defining deep dish pizza. The response was so great, in 1955 Pizzeria Due opened in an adjacent location. Chicago is the uncontested deep dish pizza capitol and these are the best, and the original. Many food snobs turn their nose to deep dish. Have to try it! The wait is typically long, and... More

Had a great pizza and drinks with friends on a Monday night. Waiter was awesome and got to meet the manager who was also awesome. The pizza is worth the wait (about 35 minutes) so order a nice glass of wine, or beer, or "pink lady" (inside joke LOL) and visit with your friends until that wonderful pizza is placed... More

We ate at this restaurant when we were in Chicago a year and a half ago, and I remembered not caring for it, but decide to try it again because I wanted that "chicago pizza" experience. Should have stuck with my first impression. The crust was way overcooked and crumbled as i cut into it. On top of that it... More

Finding a good deep-dish pie place in Chicago isn't all that hard. This is a classic, convenient location for exhausted shoppers. Yes, because of that it's a Mecca for tourists. But you'll find a fair number of locals in here - which is always a good sign. Service is friendly, but yes, as many have said....can be achingly slow. In... More

Yummmm! In chicago, you have to do the Chicago style deep dish pizza. What can I say, mouth watering. Laid back place and ambience. Must do in chicago.

I had my first experience at Pizzeria Due tonight and it was quite good. It was a cold day in Chicago so I enjoyed their Minestrone soup, which had great flavor!! I then had their small Chicago style pizza and it was very good. The crust was really good and melted in my mouth. I was impressed with their pizza... More

Awesome deep dish pizza once you get in so our advice is have an early dinner or a late lunch to be sure the wait is not too long. The tables are packed in with not much space around them but the atmosphere was fun and relaxed so being in close proximity to other diners wasn't that bad (until a... More

We were sat is this tiny booth in bar- don't sit there!!! Booth is so small legs didn't fit under table!! Pizza is good- takes 40 minutes- no big deal- but gives you time to see how dirty restaurant is- needs a major cleaning and dusting ..

Due was in walking distance from our hotel and our first experience with Chicago Deep Dish Pizza - it didn't disappoint! We loved the cheesy bread appetizer and the ambiance of the historic business. It was obviously a frequented neighborhood place to hang out after work for a drink with friends - very inviting and warm. Would definitely go back!

Sorry late review from 2013. The deep dish crust was not good at all. I tried to like it. But finding what pizza suits you takes time. Ultimately I did. But you need to try it for yourself and judge it.
