Chicago tradition

We were told that a “Deep Dish Pizza” is a must do in Chicago. Pizzeria Duo advertised just that and we took the chance with no regret. We ordered half original and half chicken BBQ. Waited quite a while but was warned about the cooking time. We had a delicious meal and a big doggy bag to take... read more

The best deep dish in Chicago. Definitely worth the wait. The staff was also very friendly. We sat outside watching people walk by as we waited the 30 minutes for our pizzas to cook.

This is the best Chicago pizza I've had so far. Looking forward to the next time I make it to the city.

We understood the long wait and we ordered our pizza as requested so that it would arrive shortly after we were seated. But service was terrible! I felt sorry for the waiter since he did not have help, but we ordered drinks 20 minutes before our pizza came and never got them until 15 minutes AFTER the pizza came. I... More

My husband and I wanted to have a slice of deep dish and get a drink while enjoying the nice outdoor weather. We got that at Pizzaria Due! We were going to eat dinner late, but wanted some pizza so we split an individual size--it was perfect! The ice July evening this summer was also enjoyed in the patio, and... More

This pizzeria has authentic Chicago style deep dish, and is found just a block off the Mag Mile. Pizzeria Uno is a block away and it's the same restaurant. (according to our server.) Beware if you are from abroad and order alcohol, they will need a passport as ID, a driver's license is not sufficient. The restaurant is an old... More

One of the original pizzerias of Chicago. Your pizza is handcrafted when ordered, so expect to wait 45 minutes. Nice atmosphere, great patio if it's nice enough to be outside. Also salads, pasta, & sandwiches on the menu but that's not why you come here.

Admittedly, Pizzeria Uno & Pizzeria Due are our "go-to" pizza places in Chicago primarily because my teenage daughter dreams of living in Chicago, so when we go, she likes to act as though she knows and owns the city. These are the places she knows and loves and therefore we return like clockwork! If there is someone new to the... More

I had given up on pizza. I am just not a fan. Most sauces are sweet or rich and the crust is never tasty - dry and eh. This place has reestablished my faith in the cheesy, awesome sauce, piled high toppings pizza! YEAH!! Terrific, fun vibe and sooo good. Thank you thank you thank you! I wish I lived... More

We wanted to taste the Chicago style deep dish pizza, but this was not what we expected. Crust was thin and crunchy, in a deep pan (like they cooked crust first), then filled with mozzarella cheese and a lot of tomato-ey things and cooked again. We liked it well enough, but probably would not return. Only finished half of the... More
