great service - good food

They've remodeled so there's a larger bar. But food is still good as is the service. It's such a grea location.

Stop by this place for brunch on my last day in town. And i love it. I had never had a blood orange mimosa but its the only way i drink them after having it here. And the food and service was great as well

The Atwood has been renovated in recent years and is now a bright space with ample seating in the bar area. The servers and bar tenders are friendly, but the beer list in minimal. This might be fine, as Kimpton's are known for their mixed drinks, but I felt limited in some of my choices. Overall, however, I would return,... More

First visit to this restaurant, though Id passed by it several times before, as it's right in the heart of Chicago. It has recently been modernized, though judging from the photos of its previous decor, I think it looked cosier and classier before. The new decor struck me as rather clinical. (And I didnt know what to make of the... More

I have been a customer of the Atwood for many years and have never been disappointed in the food, drink menu, and service. In fact, I think they have some of the best bartenders in the city...I discovered new liqueurs from around the world by sitting at Atwood's bar and observing. The food is always excellent too--high quality, excellent ingredients... More

Though the food is always good, one of the main reasons I went to the Atwood is the ambiance. Its lovely rich colors, conversation friendly noise level and comfortable seating were all so welcoming. And now it’s all gone. Sterile white tiles with browns and grays and blacks for the new “colors”, an amplified noise level, and increased seating in... More

ItchyFeet, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry you are unhappy with our new look. There was careful thought that went behind the new design which speaks to the history and the architecture of the building as we are a historic landmark. We are still adding elements to make it more warm which I think... More

We stumbled across this restaurant Easter Sunday morning after church and the brunch was fabulous! The menu is not large but all encompassing from a frittata souffle, beef short rib hash, a spring omelet to a mexican inspired dish. The Bloody Mary was delicious as well. Best price point of any brunch we had.

We have dined here many times in the past. The newly renovated restaurant is lovely, with a menu(s) to match. We had lunches and dinners here on our latest visit and found good choices all times. HIghly recommend reservations.
