The scaffolding has gone. Gone in its very nice

I booked this place for a group of 9 which ended up a group of 5 but they were okay about it. It was a Monday lunchtime so I guess it was fine. I have walked past many times and it has been surrounded by scaffolding but now its gone. Inside its very trendy and bright. The menu is pretty... read more

Quiet atmosphere... Knowledgeable wait staff. Loved the food and dessert. Great place for a business meeting or romantic dinner.

jazzyart, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. And yes! That scaffolding is gone now. It hampered the true beauty outside and inside for a while but we are back in action. Come back and see us soon. Damien Palladino More

We got to the restaurant late on a Friday night having been delayed on our flight and we were hungry. I ordered the pan seared chicken with a mushroom bread pudding concoction while the wife ordered the rushing waters trout. How wonderful both of these dishes were. The chicken was very savory and tender. The trout was crispy on the... More

Cozy and beautiful place for lunch with friends. Lush seating and friendly staff, plus great location make this a must do for lunch. The menu is limited but for the heart of downtown Chicago, the prices are reasonable and the drinks are great!

The Atwood has been renovated in recent years and is now a bright space with ample seating in the bar area. The servers and bar tenders are friendly, but the beer list in minimal. This might be fine, as Kimpton's are known for their mixed drinks, but I felt limited in some of my choices. Overall, however, I would return,... More

First visit to this restaurant, though Id passed by it several times before, as it's right in the heart of Chicago. It has recently been modernized, though judging from the photos of its previous decor, I think it looked cosier and classier before. The new decor struck me as rather clinical. (And I didnt know what to make of the... More

I have been a customer of the Atwood for many years and have never been disappointed in the food, drink menu, and service. In fact, I think they have some of the best bartenders in the city...I discovered new liqueurs from around the world by sitting at Atwood's bar and observing. The food is always excellent too--high quality, excellent ingredients... More
